Revival of actor/writer Paul Kember's 1979 play about life in a kibbutz for some young English volunteers who have different motivations for going there and little real interest in mixing with the locals.
Some good storylines interwoven here, even if the character development of some of the parts takes time to get going, with a good mixture of humour and drama to keep the audience busy. End of the day the Jerusalem in the title, despite the location, is rather more Blake than Holy Land but this is a good afternoon's watch on a lazy Sunday. Well acted nd directed and performed in the round (yes, it's possible to do so even in the limited space provided by the Finborough!).
Great value at 13p a minute, unlike another play I'm thinking of right now.
