Just came across this while googling: www.youngvic.org/whats-on/the-second-womanNot many other details yet. I saw it in Brooklyn with Alia Shawkat and a few famous faces among the amateurs, lasted about 7 hours. Thought it was really good. Anybody going for the full 24 hour stint?

I wonder if the 100 men in this set-up are also ‘male identifying or non binary’ - or is it just natal women losing out here?

I'm interested but apparently not a part of whatever club gets you the right to apply. Is it Young Vic members or...? I can't find any information googling around.

Yes, to be one of the 100 male participants. Seemingly no longer with a website link, but found it in the browser history...
I haven't heard back ...

Interesting choice in Ruth Wilson. I haven't really seen her in a proper comedic rule, and I found Alia Shawkat having such great comedy chops really helped it stop being tedious. Still, I suppose there are (hopefully) 100 different ways to play it.

So some theatres have 'no stage door during outbreak' policies to protect performers, while the Young Vic is going ahead with this?

It's in June Yes, I know, but we're not bringing in the sort of lockdown procedures that seem to be reducing the spread in China.

I bought a ticket for 8 am on the 20th. It does not feel totally mad now but I am sure that it will when we get closer to the date and I realise I must wake up at 6 Am on a Saturday.

Missed any sensible time. I applied to take part as well and haven’t heard back, I assume no news is bad news. Not for me this time!

[pbr] The blurb seems to suggest that you can stay for 20 minutes or 24 hours. Anyone know how they plan to ticket this? I remember when David Walliams did 24 hours of comedy straight that they ticketed it in 2 hour blocks (tickets were free from the BBC). I attended a late night block, but then stayed for another block when they told us we could stay if we wanted to cos the early morning block wasn't filled. But if someone can stay for the full 24 hours, doesn't that really limit the (live) audience for this? And if someone does leave after 20 minutes, can someone else come straight in and fill the seat? Anyone know lol?

It seems indeed unclear. If those going at 4 pm on the Friday decide to stay for the whole 24 hours (I might try), then is there room for others? I think they count on the limited resistance of the audience.

I just wish they were a bit more clear about when the tickets will go on sale because 'coming soon' is very vague and in the past I missed shows at the Young Vic that were branded as such.

Found the original thread, I gather there were Reserved Time tickets at £25 and Queuing tickets for £15. I assume that the Reserved Time ticket holders would have had to leave once their time was up, whereas the Queuing ticket holders would have been able to stay as long as they liked. I wonder if that is how it will be this time round? Also, I also see that Londonpostie and Andrew, from this board, applied to be one of the 100 people doing the scene. What a crafty (but embarrassing) way to blag a free ticket lol!

I remember that, I didn't hear back!
As above, intriguing concept, kind of live installation, hopefully shades of the singular Marina Abramovic.
