Ok so he was a DJ/producer/remixer rather than a ‘theatrical type’ but Andrew Weatherall, the man who produced Screamadelica (amongst numerous other classics) has passed away aged just 56.
I truly am gutted about this, he was (and always will be) one of my heroes growing up, a man of integrity who never did crap just for an easy dollar: I saw him DJ about half a dozen times over the last 20 or so years, and I can’t believe I’ll never get to see him again.
