I watched the pro-shot of the Broadway production a few months ago and I found it incredibly beautiful and moving - really looking forward to this one

I saw Indecent in NY twice and gave the PBS video to all my UK friends. It's incredible to watch live and should be very well fitted fro the Menier.

Please can somebody put some punctuation in this thread title No, I like it as it is. Fine. You can represent Theatreboard when Menier take us to court for defamation and slander and the rest!!

Very good cast, too, from what I'm hearing including Joseph Timms and Cory English. It's a terrific play and a smart choice for the Menier.

I like the sound of this but not the prices. Didn't the Chocolate Starfish start doing a range of prices?

Peter Polycarpou and Al Silbur - I'm certainly booking for this one on Monday. Loathe travelling to the Menier but this will get me there no problem!

"In poor taste publicity stunt, Menier cuts ticket prices to what nearly every other fringe theatre charges"

Much more encouraging price but I looked again at the play info and US reviews and remembered why it hadn't appealed to me at all.

Friends who saw the NYC production said it was one of the most moving and exciting plays they’d seen in years.

Ok I admit I have vested interest as I used to be a volunteer at the Meneir for many years but love the fact that people criticise a price reduction! You read so many comments on here about their high prices and then when they reduce them people complain about that too. As they say up north "nowt so queer as folk".

So, first up tickets have dropped in price across the board and TodayTix now listed them for £15 (throughout September according to Twitter) I have also seen some tweets earlier in the week with a link to book essentially 'friends and family' tickets if you were following some of the cast on Twitter - though those prices were higher than TodayTix now offer! Maybe Menier has come to a conclusion on ticket prices?
Anyways, we saw it yesterday afternoon which I think was the second show in the restart after the two previews in March of last year. It is 1h 45m
We both really enjoyed it. The company (including the musicians who all also have small non-speaking roles) were excellent. It would be hard to pick a standout and they move between roles seamlessly while making it very easy to follow the changes. Not a hint of rust or early run nerves, they were all great.
The staging is really effective, on the back wall behind the cast there are titles to set time and locations, to indicate when the script is changing language, English translations for some moments in Yiddish, and a small bit more (slight issue seeing some of them towards the end as the cast are front and centre of the stage, myself and quite a few people by us were straining to try and read through gaps).
The story is both long and epic and small and intimate. There are a few good laughs along the way and small quiet moments that set the scene for the ending of the play very nicely.
I would really like to see The God Of Vengeance now to see the full love story that we get moments and snippets from throughout. It is a credit to the cast and the play that while there is a lot of exposition about this love story, there are also enough moments where we can glimpse it so as to be drawn into it.
The programme is £4 and really quite good. Aside from cast and crew bio & photos, there is a nice timeline of the original play and of Indecent. Very high quality printing too.
One negative, the bar selection is pretty poor. There is a single bottle of beer (San Miguel), a single cider ... and it is kiwi and lemon!, small wines are bottles of Blossom Hill and that's really it. I hope it's just a low stock not wanting to order up until they see how re-opening goes (or a delayed delivery or something) but oof.
Finally, I would have no hesitation in recommending it for an afternoon/evening in September at £15, in fact I think that is a great deal.
