Having watched the whole series, it's very clear that there is only one culprit....The Press.

"Kate is looking for her 4th private secretary in five years. No questions asked" But kate parades her kids around in 1950's clothes so it's all okay Can’t see why that matters. They wear very traditional clothes in public. They look pretty normal in their own clothes. She is teaching them to have a uniform.

I think the concept 1950's clothes is harking back to a time of the Empire and is not forward looking

I think the concept 1950's clothes is harking back to a time of the Empire and is not forward looking It’s also rather common for children at the moment. I always have numerous girls in my class on mufti who are dressed like P. Charlotte. Less suits for the boys to be fair.

To be honest I really don’t care how anyone dresses their kids, assuming the kids are warm in winter and cool in summer and decently covered...

She is aware of that. She favours small designers for the kids and who the hell she likes for herself. Tbh I wish she dressed the children more like everyone else does, T shirts, joggers, yes, nice dresses where appropriate and so on.. but generally not so formally. George in a shirt, tie and jacket at the tennis last summer in a heatwave was painful to watch. I think the Tindells have got it more or less right, haven't they, in many ways.

At big events their children are dressed pretty much like Charlotte…their son is too young. Same with a peters girls. Mia had a Gucci coat on at Christmas. Any normal photo of the children show them dressed like normal kids

Any normal photo of the children show them dressed like normal kids The Wales children have different expectations placed on them than the Tindell children. George will be King some day, providing the world doesn't tear itself apart. Think about the media coverage of the Queen's death, with old photographs and films showing her as far back as her infancy. Childhood photos of George are essentially going to be considered historical documents long after we're dust. In choosing traditional clothing for her children, Kate is ensuring that they look timeless. Charlotte's coats and smocked dresses could have been worn by the late Queen herself, and George has been seen in traditional styles worn by his own father; Diana dressed William and Harry in those smocked rompers or shorts and piped shirts for balcony appearances, church days, and photos. At one point, Diana had Catherine Walker make her and the boys coats based on one Charles had worn as a child, and they wore them on Easter. Clearly the current Wales children wear jeans and t-shirts on private time away from school, but we have to consider that those wee people are "on duty" every bit as much as their parents, therefore the family keeps the children's visual image on message. Continuity, tradition, and stability.

Charles just awarded Jason Knauf (the guy who was imposed on Meghan to be her advisor and run her press stuff, who was also Thomas Markle’s press handler, who was busted leaking stuff to the tabloids, came up with the bullying allegation which he also leaked to the press, and worked on behalf of Mail on Sunday in Meghan’s lawsuit against them) “ Lieutenant of the Royal Victorian Order.”
Yeah neither side is going to be on each other’s Christmas card list any time soon.

Harry is our version of Kanye: can he not get through a week without whinging to all and sundry while promoting yet another new tv series or book?
If he has issues with his family, he should sort it out in private rather than attention seeking by going public with it. No one’s family life is perfect, he is old enough to realise that.

Victimhood is all they have. It's their only source of income. Is called being contracted to do promotional interviews for the product you've been paid to produce. They didn't do a single second of promotion for the Netflix series. You can't blame them for the press and public reaction to everything they do or say, that happens all by itself and has little do with them.

The royal family went whinging to the press about Meghan about 853,647 times since before she was even married. All they do is leak stories complaining. They were publicly airing dirty laundry (as well as leaking outright lies) about Harry and Meghan for years while H&M were entirely silent and never responded or defended themselves. For years.
How long would you tolerate your own family constantly telling the press all manner of nasty things about you without being allowed to speak?

Facts?
None of this is based on facts. And that is the problem.
If Harry is serious about wanting to heal a family rift, he is going about it completely the wrong way.

None of this is based on facts. And exactly how do you know this? Please tell us, we are all ears. The whole thing is spin and presentation. On both sides to a greater or lesser extent. The lack of specific details to so many of the allegations makes that perfectly obvious. I have so over this whole drama. I don't give a damn about anything that Harry and Meghan have to say. They chose to step aside from a life of public service. Let them be private citizens.

I don't find anything about Kanye West funny. Indeed, Kanye is clearly in the grip of a very serious mental illness that is destroying his life - has already destroyed his marriage and much of his career. Nothing funny about that.

Facts? None of this is based on facts. And that is the problem. If Harry is serious about wanting to heal a family rift, he is going about it completely the wrong way. Yes, it is based on facts. What happened post-Netflix series with the exposure of the Palace lies about being contacted for comment and how they briefed those denials to the press via their pet journalists is a clear example of exactly what Harry is saying. It’s a fact that the Royal Press offices use friendly journalists to plant lies about Harry and Meghan in the press. Those journalists report those lies without even attempting to do any basic journalistic verification of them. They act as stenographer for the Palace press officers so that they don’t have to go on the record with their lies. As for Harry healing the family rift - that is very much up to the rest of the family. It’s pretty clear what Harry would need them to do. They could simply tell their press officers directly to stop lying via journalists now that has been exposed, and that would be a start. They could even defend Meghan against the utter vileness that the likes of Jeremy Clarkson come out with instead of attending lunches with him. But they are clearly not willing to do so.

[. I have so over this whole drama. I don't give a damn about anything that Harry and Meghan have to say. They chose to step aside from a life of public service. Let them be private citizens. This is obviously not true: 1. You’re still posting in this thread. So you are clearly not over it and are still interested. 2. They did not ‘step aside from a life of public service’. They were explicit in saying that they would continue to be public figures and that ‘service is universal’ - that they intended to attempt to live a life of public service outside the Royal Family. And given that they have been involved in several high profile public roles - not just the continuing work with Invictus Games and SmartWorks, but also the Global Citizen work on COVID-19 vaccine equity - www.globalcitizen.org/en/content/topics/prince-harry-and-meghan - they have demonstrably done so.
