I'm sure that other people on this board will already know about this but for those who don't the current edition of the Radio Times (30 Nov-6th December) is advertising the opportunity for one Radio Times reader to join the Olivier Awards judging panel. Applicants are invited to write a 150 word review of a theatre production that they have seen in the past year, alongside an additional 200 words about who you are and why you deserve to be on the panel. The shortlist will be four readers who will be invited for interview in mid January. Closing date for applications in 13th December.
The current RT judge is a social science researcher called Samuel Miles who is clearly having a very fine time.
Can't find details of this scheme online - only for previous year's schemes. But the address for applications is Oliviers Competition, Radio Times, Vineyard House, 44 Brook Green, London W6 7BT or email to feedback@radiotimes.com with "Oliviers Competition" in the subject line. They need your name, address, email and phone number.
Good luck to anyone applying.
