I have a weird feeling, much as everyone wants it to happen, that Hamilton is not going to get as many nominations or awards as people are suspecting. Whether it deserves them or not is a completely different matter, but especailly now with Shuffle Along... in the mix, hugely packed Acting catagories etc, I don't know why but I have a strange feeling we are in for a few surprises later on today and on the night. Out of interest, which ones do you think it might not be nominated for? I think it will get at least one nomination in every eligible category except MAYBE lead actress for Phillipa, as that is such big competition. I am not entirely sure, but I think mainly the acting catagories. It will get two for Lead Actor no doubt, but I am not sure about the other ones at all. The most obvious one is Renee for Featured Actress, but the other two catagories I don't know if at all they will be nominated. And even then, I don't think any of the three mentioned will win their catagories anyway. Which I don't mind, it would be nice to see the spread of weath otherwise this will be the most boring Tony Awards ever knowing Hamilton will win everything. And if they are to spread the weath, these are the catagories to do it.

I think Daveed Diggs is pretty much a lock for a nomination (and a win actually) but I agree that Phillipa, Chris Jackson and Jonathan Groff could go either way. I don't think any of the smaller roles (played by Oak, Anthony Ramos, Jasmine Cephas Jones) have a chance.

Does anyone know the time of announcement in UK time? 8:30am ET so if I'm not mistaken 13:30 over here...? Personally I'm rooting for King Charles III to do well, but then again I've no idea what Broadway's standard has been like this year, especially with plays.

It has a good chance of getting nominated for best play, leading actor in a play, costume design, direction of a play and maybe a couple of others.

I thought it was 13:30 too, thank you! I just hope for a few surprises at least. Go give Annaleigh Ashford, Lesli Margherita and Laurie Metcalf a nomination!

I have to agree with danieljohnson14. Even though Hamilton deserves all those nominations, it may not get all of them.
Is everyone sure Lin will be nominated? Even though he was my favourite actor in the show, there have been a lot of people calling his acting 'wooden'.
Daveed and Renée are definitely locks for nominations, if not wins.
I find it really sad that Anthony won't get a nomination. I thought he was phenomenal and much better than Christopher Jackson.
For King Charles III, I'm rooting for Tim Pigott-Smith, Olivier Chris and Richard Goulding to all get nominations. Thought they were all really good.
I'm also think Laurie Metcalf should get a nomination, but it seems kind of unlikely. I thought she gave an astonishing performance, but due to Misery's negative response the show may be subbed.

I could understand not liking Lin's performance, but wooden? He's really emotive.
But yeah I think he'll definitely get a nom, but no chance of the win.

I imagine it will be nominated, I just don't know if it will win much, or even anything, as the reception has been a bit more mixed than when it opened in London, from what I've heard at least. Especially from some of the the critics on a few episodes of TheatreTalk.

I had no idea Tuck Everlasting was eligible. I thought that opened too late for this year's Tony.
