Maria and Laura were interviewed on The Curtain Up Show this afternoon & there was talk of reinstating Loose Ends on Monday night - fingers crossed! If anyone is interested the interview is being repeated on Sunday at 9am on Resonance FM. It’s a great song I hope they’ve brought it back! Did they not confirm it then just said it was a possibility? |

don't put on those tin caps too soon - i think WOS is basically paid freelancers these days - people like Mickey Jo Boucher etc (who don't exactly hold back in their opinions). they'll have no idea who has bought ad space. also if having ads keeps a theatre platform free and accessible rather than behind a paywall, surely that's good for the community... Editorial process. What a reviewer writes and what ends up published is often very different! WoS have a shocking reputation for their reviewing transparency (among other things) Got any examples or are you spouting hearsay… |

Before I trained in theatre and worked in the business, I was a relatively successful theatre blogger. For years, I sat next to critics from other blogs, theatres, newspapers very often. I saw very famous and "credible" critics leave at the interval (after our free drinks and nibbles) and give 4-5* reviews. You can call me a liar or whatever, it doesn't matter, like I said above - the key thing is credibility. |

Adspend and commercial connection is present across all sites - time Out, etc. Note, for example, ATG is sponsoring The Stage Debut Awards this year - does that mean all of the stage’s reviews at ATG venues are now called into disrepute? |

No news of a recording, and I think it’s unlikely (though would love to be proved wrong!) - they did mention that the show has been tweaked, and I assumed this was in addition the many changes made after London. Also ‘a big orchestra’ which is fantastic news! |

Went down a WOE wormhole on YouTube. Hadn’t seen this before. Maybe this is as close as we get to a reunion. A few original faces, Sarah Lark, Caroline Sheen, Peter Joback and Jo Riding. As well as new faces Claire Machin and Claire Moore. Also, they’ve missed a trick not casting David Bedella. He looks amazing.
