Saw this Dublin set movie at a Picturehouse preview last night - it is on general release from Friday. Not the best thing I've ever watched but it had some great moments and two fantastic female leads - Holliday Grainger and Alia Shawkat. Fee plays the love interest - a classical pianist. It is being compared to all sorts of things - notably Withnail and I and Fleabag. My 18 year old daughter shook with laughter at one particular scene.
Look out too for a very small cameo by Jamael Westman towards the very end. Poor lad I immediately expected him to sing 'My name is Alexander Hamilton'. It'll take a while for him to shake off those associations for some of us.
Certainly worth a look - particularly I would think if you are living your best 20/30 something partying days. Maybe the best thing about the film is that it is not judgemental about the roads that people take - it gives the impression of seeing the pros and cons of different decisions made. And it certainly passes the Bechdel test.
