Well I'm still in the same place in the queue so it's clearly slightly insane, meanwhile in at the Young Vic but have the little circle going round and round to get to my basket. Unfathomable joy

Done! It accepted my card first time, that's both Vics booked and accounted for, and I still have 3 minutes before lunch!

Unfathomable joy I literally just put the phone down after a perfect call with the Young Vic - straight through on the phone.

If I don't want to spend more than £30 for a ticket, am I better off waiting for day seats?

Congrats, Baemax - an efficient morning's work.

It said on the booking confirmation page (not the confirmation email) that the e-tickets would be sent about 7 days before the performance. Odd given that usually they come through straight away.

Remarkably I got Q35 for the only day I could go. Was sure I'd be priced out of this one (at least in terms of what I wanted to pay given it's a London day trip for me).

My position in the queue is unaltered after an hour and a quarter (3604) and I have supposedly another hour before I am graced with admission to the site. I am gracefully bowing out. In other news Young Vic sorted!

After a 75 minute wait I got a restricted view Dress Circle for £40 (B9). I am sure I have paid less for this seat in the past. Can anyone let me know if this should be cheaper and I should contact the box office?
I ask because curiously the seat next to B9 is shown in blue and is £65, yet if I look a few seats in to B12 which is also shown in blue this show a price of £90. Rows D and E show in green and are £55 except that the inner row D seats, still in green, show £65. Makes me think there may be something wrong with their web pricing setup.
After securing my ticket I had a browse around and there seems to be a lot of availability for the several dates I looked at.

The seats I chose were 16 in the past and are now 20

Q35 sorted. straight through on the phone, id recommend that. Perhaps I'm confused; when I had a look on TodayTix it looked as if this was being performed in the round i.e. the stage is in a different location?

Although I was rather quickly on the side, was 78 in the line, someone was a tiny bit quicker with that seat on the only day I can do. So I took my usual restricted view seat in the dress circle again.

You can see the configuration here when you select a preformance www.todaytix.com/x/london/shows/16828-lungs

But the configuration on the Old Vic Site looks different from that on Today Tix. (Rows E, F and G)

Can anyone who's managed to book for this clear something up for me please?
My estimated waiting time is coming down, but my number in the queue has stayed at 4858 since I joined. Did this happen with you too? Or has something gone wrong?
Isn't the queue number supposed to fall as you get nearer to your turn?

How long does it say the wait time is .. About 20 minutes. Was just concerned because I'm sure the queue number counted down in the past.

D/C B7-9 (my favourites) have been £21 up to and including Present Laughter - rather hefty increase for the new season.

A two hour wait but very straightforward once I finally arrived at the front of the queue. (Though I do wish the Old Vic website was more smartphone friendly!)
We are advised that e-tickets will be emailed 7 days before the performance, and no re-selling except through the proper channels, or words to that effect.

It didn't say that on my confirmation page Who knows what's going on? I think the system is being quite erratic today. I wasn't given any choice other than an e-ticket (maybe I'd set it as a default for earlier bookings). Then there was a reference during the booking process to the e-tickets being sent out automatically seven days before the performance but that information wasn't included in the email confirmation - which does mention post and box office collection! Most curious. Communication from the Old Vic is often a bit of a mess - and their website could do with a good proofreader.

Anytime I've booked through the Old Vic website I've only been given the e-ticket option (and it always annoys me because I like to collect my tickets).

They have put the prices up generally (my usual £16 seat is now £20) but also it looks like the staging is going to be more in-the-round than the traditional proscenium, so having the stage nearer the upper levels of the audience will change the sightlines somewhat (my usual £16/20 seat went up to £55 when they first did A Christmas Carol).

But yes, that's new, it used to count down, which is probably why they've made a point of tweeting about how the number won't change this time.
