I’ve booked for this. Am I bonkers? Sounds like a regular two hander with a couple of good actors. Just no idea, haven’t seen anything about it. Anyone else tempted?

Yes and when we get no where in the free for all tomorrow as we try and book other theatres at the same time we will be reliant on you lynette, so you're really taking one for the team!

Quite a odd seating layout on this one...many aisle seats are not on sale as sight lines are yet to be worked out and could be restricted view...

If you're willing to pay the £3 per ticket booking fee and not know where your seat will be until closer to the time, TodayTix have a Young Vic presale today. I've booked what I want from that as I'm not at all bothered where I sit in the YV, so I'm now free to attempt the madness for this alone tomorrow!

I was banking on trying to get that! Just tried to look but tickets have been taken off sale atm...so cant see the plan..You maybe ok that far back ...its quite an odd layout ..from memory full rows of stall seats started around row h...anything before that seemed to be in sets of 2 either end of the rows..so your row q is going to be closer to the front of the stage i would imagine...there are seats available on the rear stage too...i found it rather confusing to understand what was best..so ended up with one off the aisle on row j...i am sure monkey will clear up anything i have poss got wrong!

Are the prices for this as daft as for A Very Expensive Poison? (My beloved aisle seats in the dress circle appear now to be £40, not £21, for that. Not so much A Very Expensive Poison as A Rather Overpriced Restricted View.)

Not knowing where your seat will be is Young Vic business as usual, not a Today Tix exclusive. That's the joy of such a flexible space, they VERY rarely know where the seats are going to be when they put the shows on sale!

It's a very good play - but essentially a small scale play (though about important topics)- it was produced by Paines Plough as part of their Roundabout Season about seven years ago - and then revived a few times. I saw it with Kate O'Flynn and Alistair Cope - directed by Richard Wilson - at Shoreditch Town Hall. It was done in the round - with no set (which I think is specified in the script) and only 100 or so people in the audience - so you really were up close and personal with a couple who were quite candidly discussing their future. How it plays in a much larger, proscenium arch space will be interesting.

As far as I can see - looked at all available dates - it's a blatant lie there are £24 tickets for sale.
Can't pay £34 + £4 for Lilian Bayliss.

I let myself be sucked into the todaytix offer because 12 noon isn't a great time for me. Probably not got the best deal but got some central upper circle seats and I now just won't look at what I could have had in public sale! Anyone else ever have to take a step back and remember they're just theatre tickets? No..I never take my own advice either..

Anyone else ever have to take a step back and remember they're just theatre tickets? No..I never take my own advice either.. I did exactly the same. Have ended up in the Lilian Baylis because the dress circle wasn’t on sale, but it’s just easier to be able to do it now and not join the melee at noon. Convenience over cost and all that. (I’ve also joined OV or whatever that scheme is, and I genuinely have no idea what it’s for or if there was something OV related I could have done for this booking.)

I'm holding out for general sale because I guess I'm an idiot.

All the vaguely affordable tickets in the TodayTix presale had gone by the time I got the notification, so general sale madness it is!
I have a feeling I may end up having to day seat this one...!

I went back in to the TodayTix presale and there was a single £40 seat for a date I could do so I have now snapped it up - a bit more than I ideally wanted to pay, and I hate paying TodayTix fees, but my train is delayed so I will still be in the middle of nowhere at 12pm and the general sale will likely be madness enough for such a short run without having to battle dodgy 4G and train Wi-Fi!
At least I can relax a bit now, although next up is the airport security queue so maybe not quite yet...
