Also everytime Deidrie sent Tracy upstairs she didn't come down for months by which time she had changed into a completely different person.

Looking forward to seeing these two on the cobbles especially Tracie Bennett. Maybe she could make her entrance coming out of a cupboard at Rita's and singing "I'm still here".
Can they now get rid of some of the dross please? Yes looking at you Dev and the whole of the Bailey family who are such bad actors.

Is it just me or does it feel like a bit of a chore to watch at the moment?

Is it just me or does it feel like a bit of a chore to watch at the moment? I agree entirely. In fact I decided today not to watch anymore as it’s too depressing

I think a lot is down to the covid regulations as to how many storylines and characters.

I would shout from the rafters praising Corrie as have been a fan since childhood. Got all the books, Rovers Return teapot and a mug that plays the theme when you pick it up, plus other assorted tat. I have also made 3 visits to the street over the years. But even I am getting bored with it recently. They are heading in the wrong direction. Their skill is comedy with some drama thrown in, and strong female characters. That is what the fans expect and enjoy and they are going to lose them if they keep going the way they are. I see so many comments on social media from life long fans saying the don't enjoy it anymore and want the comedy back. Get Jonathan Harvey onto it please.

It's all a bit too grim at the moment. Daniel and Paul moving in together has comic potential if Billy gets jealous, and Tracie Bennett should be fun, but the gloomy plotlines and criminal overload are making Weatherfield a worse place to live than Walford.

The only thing I can really remember about her character was she had a botched suicide attempt. So, er, maybe not.

Here here you can tell when Jonathon Harvey has written an ep humour and wit and a smidgen of double entendres thrown in for good measure .... the street is trying to be too much like Enders and hollyoaks Sadly With the year we’ve all had don’t they realise we want a bit of Corrie light relief to take us out of the hurt and heartache not shove it down our necks !! The fab Sue devaney acts most of the cast off the screen these days shes such light relief and when tracie Bennett comes back let’s have a song and dance down the cobbles off them jazz hands and all ! ....Lorna laidlaw too is a great actor being wasted at the moment ... Paul and Daniel together should be funny ... again can’t Paul and the vicar just be happy for a while

I think is a good chance of a comedy moment coming up soon when Abi and Sally try in their dresses for the wedding at the bistro. I believe it all goes wrong and there is spilt food involved.

Tracie Bennett is back tonight. Social media is talking about how low her voice is. Someone said "sounds like she is on 50 a day".

Harry Visinoni who played Seb was on tv this morning. In his last scene when he was dead they brought his girlfriend in to play Abi's hand who touched him when he was lying in hospital. When they reshowed the scene it is so clever the way they did it. It was a shock he died and I hadn't realised the attack was based on an actual case.

Fair play to them, it was pretty good last week, all the more so for keeping Seb’s death a surprise. They normally spoil stuff like that by announcing actors are leaving months ahead of them actually going. I’m just hoping they don’t have the aftermath of the attack drag on for months now though, we don’t need to see the police arrest half of Weatherfield yet again.

If you like Corrie, camp and Gypsy then tonight's episode of Corrie will be right up your street (Good Friday). Ruthie and Jodie singing "Everything's coming up roses" on the cobbles is a classic.

It’s all about Classic Corrie on ITV3 right now. I forgot how brilliantly written (also at times hilarious) the Richard Hillman episodes were.
