Yes, payment was taken - I had to make an English friend order the special signed vinyl + CD for me since it wasn't available to us plebs abroad. Yeah, that is a pity, would have loved a signed copy. Still, many companies don't ship outside the UK anymore, thank you Brexit. ;P

This is what it says in the first article: but the title character doesn’t need a Prince Charming to fulfill her needs. In this retelling, Prince Charming is gay, and runs off with a duke. Cinderella falls in love with Sebastian, an adorable oddball. But Seb seems to be a prince too. So we have two princes: Charming (AWOL to the point he isn't a principal and gay) and Seb (who presumably isn't gay, but who knows?). Yes but surely this can’t be the big ‘twist’ The one we’ve known about for 2 years😂 I mean, it would’ve been a creative brilliant plot back in 1983 but today it’s like... the Prince is gay? And? Also she ‘doesn’t need a Prince Charming to fulfill her needs’ but Sebastian is a man. So not that different to the usual fairytale trope of woman needs man to complete her. Sebastian is just an ‘adorable oddball’. Turn to trope number 2 geek gets unattainable girl The Prince/Duke subplot sounds more interesting

ALW did very well in the 80s, perhaps he's a bit stuck there? Although he didn't write the book, so I shouldn't tease. I've also just found out that he doesn't have a middle name. I don't know why I found that surprising, but I do!

That's what bothered me about &Juliet already and seems to be repeated here. For all blather about diversity and inclusivity apparently an independent woman is still a step too far.

If Sebastian is a Prince (where did that come from) and is supposed to be the one she falls in love with, after watching the 2 videos he looks too young for her. He looks like a teen and even though CHF is young, she looks way older. IMO. And just how many times can you belt in that song she is singing. Too many.

He does look baby faced compared to Cinderella. Perhaps an inter generational relationship subplot too? 😉

How about, he has nothing to do with Cinderella at all. Its smoke and mirrors and he is in love with the Prince marries him, even though there was a duke previously involved, and thus becomes a prince himself. Meanwhile Cinders has fallen for the Stepmother. And they have a double wedding. And I will wink you back LOL.

I get the feeling Sebastian falls in love with Prince Charming, and Cinderella is the one he turns to for advice.

I get the feeling Sebastian falls in love with Prince Charming, and Cinderella is the one he turns to for advice. It would make more sense as CHF and Ivanov look so mismatched. And the lyrics in Only You Lonely You would make more sense too ‘You unlock the secret me that I couldn't see’ Prince Charming pushed into dating princesses to find a suitable match finds love with ‘adorable oddball’ Sebastian instead. While Cinderella decides she doesn’t need a man to complete her life and stomps those doc martens to 21st century independence There. We fixed it for you Andrew.

Great minds. As I was teasing that would make the most sense. The Cinders part was sarcastic. Though you never know.

I am delighted to announce the triumphant return of the Gillian Lynne Circle to the LWT booking site.
(It's disappearance will remain a strange affair; a mystery never fully explained).

Is the revolving seating area definitely back in use for this? If so, which seats are they? Are they marked on the seating plan?

Well if they aren't really rehearsing, an awful lot of effort is going into making it look like they are!

The standout feature of that picture for me is how little legroom there is. ALW is not especially tall or large and his knees are almost touching the seat in front. Aisle seat for me then.

There's a full cast rehearsal picture knocking around on Instagram too., with them all sitting spread out on the stage.

Looking at the pics of the theatre and set (so far) I'd be very surprised if that entire area (stage and front stalls) revolved in the same way it did in Cats. So who knows what they mean! Perhaps though....

For some reason I assumed the moving seats would have been promoted as such, and therefore a different price, but you only find out once you click on the seat.
I'll be avoiding them, but i wonder how they'll use it and for how long you'll he facing the rest of the audience?

New date came through. As mentioned before I had booked my dad in for June 24th, of course its starting now on the 25th! Was rebooked for a date in August but very easy form to fill to request to move this to June 30th, where there seems to be plenty of seats. Just waiting now for new confirmation.

I am so curious about this show! Thus far the marketing has shown no theme and no cohesion. I suspect this is the result of ALW wishing to avoid leaking spoilers but I don't think it's been a good promo campaign so far. To me it comes across as unsure of itself and sloppy.
Here's hoping it will all make sense in the end. Apart from Bad Cinderella, to which I found the lyrics to be utterly appalling, I quite like the songs so that's a start.
