Carrie's off on her Insta stories again. She's been told off for taking too long at Stage Door, to the extent they have to pay the theatre staff overtime as she is there for up to an hour after the show. After the matinee on Wednesday there were well over a hundred people waiting in a very long line at the stage door. I said to my friend that this is crazy. Nobody is going to be able to get any kind of break before the evening show so I get why things were said. However, did she not speak to those waiting she would be criticised too so she cannot win really...

It could well be as all of Carrie's fans will do the matinee as the evening is her scheduled show off.

It’s currently the interval at the show and I just feel compelled to voice this on here…
My last minute £15 ticket gives me an excellent view, but unfortunately I’m also right next to the wings again and the noise and chatting tonight is so loud that I’m genuinely considering complaining.
All of the quiet dialogue moments have been totally ruined by people shouting, running around and generally being loud in the wings, it’s so distracting and quite a few people around me are also finding it really annoying.
I literally couldn’t hear ‘I know you’ over CHF having a really loud conversation in the wings with others - sorry to point fingers but it was clearly her voice and I was really annoyed!
I just don’t know how they get away with this, I hate comforting FOH with complaints but I might send an email afterwards as I’m really not happy that one of my last visits to the show is being ruined by cast members.

Absolutely complain! If someone had previously complained it'd have been addressed (I hope) and you wouldn't be having to put up with it now. How shockingly unprofessional, where is the stage manager (is that who I mean?) allowing this to happen?

This cast seem a law onto themselves and in the final weeks they probably feel they can do as they please.

Sad to say I noticed the same thing earlier this week but Carrie was onstage when lots of chatter was taking place so she certainly isn't the only one.
I think it's mainly because the seating goes much wider to the side of the wings in this theatre. In most theatres the seating is all away from the stage.
Perhaps they are just not aware that they can be heard?

Who cares. This dreadful show will soon be gone. Time for everyone to move on- especially the cast who have been treated so appallingly.

The audience- for having to pay to sit through this crap, and the cast for having to perform it- and finding out they are jobless so cruelly.

This constant Cinderella-bashing is becoming very tiresome!
If you do not like a show that is fine because you do not need to watch it. You do not even need to read about it.
You also do not need to keep telling us, every damn day, that you do not like it!

I paid to see the show because I like it and wanted to see it before closing, I was complaining about the cast members being extremely unprofessional and talking loudly throughout the entire performance in the wings, to the point where I struggled to hear what was going on onstage. I also didn’t complain in the end as I only paid £15 and didn’t want to cause any drama, for what it’s worth.

Act 2 was literally infuriating with a cast member doing VOCAL WARMUPS at the wings during one of carries solos, but I’ll save the details in case it causes offence. I also didn’t complain in the end as I only paid £15 and didn’t want to cause any drama, for what it’s worth. Oh no I think it was aimed at me! 🤣🤣🤣

If no one says anything Nothing gets done Nothing has been done. I had the same last week and complained. Not had a reply yet. There was a similar post on here that it happened in previews so it seems the cast and production do not care in the least about the audience. In over 40 years of attending the theatre i have never heard such a noise from the wings. There is no excuse as to the design of the theatre.. that is just an excuse. The shrieking , laughing and LOUD talking is unprofessional and those doing it should not be in the profession.

Whether you have a comped ticket or have paid £200 it shouldn't happen.

Apologies, It turns out my signal was playing up on my phone, so your post loaded without me seeing the previous one so I assumed it was directed towards me! I left the theatre feeling really annoyed as well, and my tube was cancelled because of the Jubilee so I had to walk home to top it all off... so I think you may have gotten the brunt of it - Sorry again! 🤣 I said before, but Act 2 was literally ridiculous! Cinderella's Soliloquy is one of my favourite parts of the show and Carrie was singing it beautifully...then a cast member came up to the wings and started doing blooming vocal warmups! Who on earth would think that is acceptable? I'm literally scared to talk in the corridors backstage, so I don't understand why none of these cast members got the memo. The FOH at the GL are all so lovely, so I couldn't bring myself to complain unfortunately.

This is absolutely pathetic that a West End show is run far worse than an amateur one. The contempt for the audience stinks; and if they're not aware after all this time, then it's incompetence from management. As for the FOH staff being too nice to complain to, I suspect you'll find they have a pride in their work, and want the audience to have a quality experience. If that means 'a word' is had with people who get paid WAY more than them, and get to be clapped at the end of every night of their working lives then I don't think the FOH staff will mind.

I agree with you, but honestly I just can't be bothered with the hassle for £15 even if it more for the principle of it. I just feel like some of the ensemble members have such an attitude...I won't say who, but there was an awkward moment tonight where everyone on my side stood for Carrie at the very end of the bows, but another actor thought we were standing for them and stepped out in front of her and started blowing kisses. It was a bit cringe because they totally blocked Carrie when literally everyone wanted to wave at her and Jonathan Dudley who was on as Sebastian, but the actor in question genuinely thought we had stood for them when they weren't even on as a principle role... I have to say though that Lauren Byrne is amazing! She came and stood in my block during the ball scene and started commenting on the ball in character and made us all belly laugh. Jonathan Dudley was brilliant as well, but I personally prefer Ivano.

OK so I might be THAT person but I will be glad to see the back of this show and the sheer sense of entitlement and two faced hypocrisy of those involved It just didn’t work. When you employ a yes man instead of a director you get a show such as this and musical theatre history is littered with them “Bernadette” “Out of the Blue” “King” shows where the composers and writers believed they know better than the creatives Any performer worthy of their craft knows when they are in a show that sucks …as an example Miss Strallen come on you thought ok that will give me a years worth of income and I’ll do the show but will it advance me and do I know what show I am going into ?? Sorry social media has a lot to answer for but it’s hear to stay and unfortunately gives a voice to some who just need to shut the f& k up and remember they are in an competitive industry where it’s not always what talent you Have but sadly who you know that makes the whole thing work Do you hear the cast of Hamilton or @juliet or six bitching about their lives NOPE

Saw this last night which will have been my second time. I first saw a very early preview so it was nice to see if it had changed and developed. Full house from what I could see. All the leads on apart from Prince Sebastian - don't know who played the part but he was very good. I also had an understudy for that role the first time I saw it. Thoroughly enjoyed it and the friend I went with who had never seen it also really liked it. Now without giving anything away in case there are still members due to see it before it closes next week can anyone confirm if the ending has changed as I am sure when I saw it the first time the ending was completely different. Or is my old age and memory playing games?
