This is the thing with Carrie… I have a soft spot for her from watching her backstage YouTube videos back in the day, but she sometimes comes across as so condescending and arrogant on SM that it makes it so hard to root for her. She’s pretty much unknown outside of the theatre world, I dread to think how she’d speak to people if she ever makes it to the mainstream.

Who cares. Amazing how far social media can promote someone with so mediocre a talent.

I met her once, when she was playing Eponine. I was waiting before the matinee to speak to an ensemble member I know, and she came along. Just a couple of her fans were there, no great crowds of Hopefuls. I felt it looked a bit funny not to speak to her as well, as there was no one else there, and she came across as very pleasant. A lot of water has gone under the bridge since then, though .....

I agree, it is totally unprofessional and something that could definitely result in a verbal warning in other companies. I suppose I was just trying to diplomatic and see it from the cast perspective, as I hate to look like someone who is constantly criticising other performers. If I'm being completely honest though, I know for certain it was Carrie chatting as I could hear her entire conversation about the wooden log prop, before coming out with it in the next scene. I was literally in the furthest possible seat to the left though which touches the wall and is just in front of the wings, so I gave her the benefit of the doubt because I quite like her (Even though I find her snarky responses to fans who are just trying to be nice on SM recently really off putting). This was also the same night that I could see into the right side wings though and witnessed Carrie bending Ivano over and dry humping him...so I left the show feeling like it was all a bit unprofessional, and that was long before the closure notice. Maybe the Lord has been in the right all along after all... We complained to front of house in the previews as was sat on side next to stage. Could hear the cast talking at full volume about what they had/was having for dinner. Shows the contempt for the audience that the cast for this show have.

Tonight's repeat of Friday Night is Music Night has Rebecca Trehearn on. She's brilliant.

This is getting really boring now from Rodney... http://instagr.am/p/CeLd5gbo9Sp I seriously wonder how all of this social media slander will affect his employability going forward.

If nothing else they all come off as quite unpleasant people with a lot of attitude.
Everyone has sh*t things happen to them, it's how you handle them that defines you and how others see you.

Exactly! Obviously none of us know all of the details about what's went on, but I don't understand why some cast members can't privately rant about it to their friends, family, partner etc. All of this social media badmouthing is such a bad look and reeks of attention seeking in my opinion.

Added to the fact that Victoria Hamilton-Barritt live-stream said that she was still friendly with ALW and that the fans don't know "the full story", essentially pushing people like Rodney under the bus. Been saying it since the start: ALW (and RUG) have done nothing wrong. Members of staff at the theatre sticking their nose where it was not welcome/needed/part of their job essentially leaked the show closure, forcing RUG to make the announcement over Easter Weekend. And from the recent posts here, we can see why ALW got "angry" with the cast. Who can blame him, seriously?

If I'm to be brutally honest, no one has come out this well and ALW and RUG aren't exactly in the clear either.

For gods sake Rodney, you sing and dance for a living and you’ve just been in a west end show - the pinnacle of any MT performers ambition- for a year. Moaning really isn’t a good look!

Oh Rodney. This one was making a fuss long before any of the drama started. I'll be happy to avoid him in anything in future.

This is exactly how I feel, he's literally hit the jackpot for a young MT performer and is coming across so entitled and ungrateful. I feel like him and some others are going to realise how good they've had it in the weeks following the closure. Victoria HB and Rebecca Trehearn are seasoned pros who know from experience that sometimes things like happen in their industry, but are appreciative of being cast in an ALW musical in the first place and are keeping it classy on SM - it says a lot to be honest. Saying that though, Georgina and Ivano have also been very mature about all of it despite being two of the youngest cast members, I predict those two will have great careers in the future as they clearly have the right attitude!

So good luck Rodney, Isaac and Danny Bayne when they next audition for a role.
What did CFH say in that Instagram post was it fans keeping her talking too long, following her, distrubing private moments, invading personal space?

If I'm to be brutally honest, no one has come out this well and ALW and RUG aren't exactly in the clear either. I disagree; nothing that ALW or RUG have done is out of the ordinary. The decision to close the show was made - the cast obviously weren't told straight away. Things started happening in the background, again, normal things. Front of house staff and the actors couldn't keep their noses out of things that don't concern them, which essentially leaked the show closing and forced RUG to make a rushed announcement. If everyone was doing what they should have been doing, then none of this would have happened. It comes down purely to entitlement: like look at the Strallen live stream, FoH staff literally signing on to complain about the fact they were digging where they shouldn't have been. Many shows do worse: announce extensions knowing fine well they're closing, giving the cast false hope, etc, only to close before their initial closing date. It's literally common practice in the industry. Personally, I just wish that RUG used the clause in their contracts about bringing their employer into dispute and got rid of idiots like Rodney. I mean, hell, even CHF has been pretty quiet about it...
