Comparing Marcus Rashfords considered and extensive campaign to stop kids going hungry in school holidays to this is borderline offensive. They are NOTHING like each other.

Marcus Rashford had nothing to gain from speaking up about school meals and doing the job the Government should be doing.
ALW has plenty to gain from hosting a charity gala performance at Cinderella.
Yes he's raising awareness, but it's also a huge marketing tool for the show. Not at all similar.

Exactly, he raised awareness of the situation, raised awareness of the governments response to it, lobbied the government to get them to change their stance, as a result it happened. He spoke about it often and everywhere he could. I’m not saying that ALW should devote himself to the cause, but it would seem a lot less disingenuous if he had ever even mentioned it before.

Raised profile, queen's honours etc. Charity is rarely a selfless act when it comes to famous people

Marcus' posts on social media are not done by him, they are all done by a PR company.

I can believe the short step from talking about music education / education in schools and youth theatres (which his Foundation is strongly involved in), and highlighting educational opportunity being denied to girls, and/or creative expression being blocked by interpretations of religion. I had a personal conversation with him where he raised the latter without prompting. For balance, his brother has been more vocal recently as one of the many signatories to a letter to The Times (3/10/21) when launching 'The Campaign To Protect Afghanistan's Musicians'. Julian was a signatory to that letter, not Andrew. afghanmusicians.wordpress.com/

When fans are tweeting him and there are interactions occuring between them it's not quite the same when you find out it's not him but someone in an office somewhere. Obviously you expect all the big stuff to be controlled in some way.
It's not a dig against Marcus as I am a United fan.

CHF is scheduled to do Saturday mats isn’t she? I know it “doesn’t matter” (you paid to see Cinderella, you saw Cinderella etc etc) but she goes to a lot of trouble to tell people when she’s on, then it gets changed. People are bound to be miffed.

Yes, she is. I don't see any mention of it on her socials which is surprising as I seem to remember her making a point of saying she updates as soon as she knows she has time off. Anyway, good luck to Lauren, I think she'll be good.

You tuber MickeyJoTheatre has just posted his top ten reasons he didn't like the show on YouTube and gets more animated than normal but does fully explain the reasons on a fair and quite detailed approach and gives plenty of reasons why something didn't work and what could have been done to make things work.
He acknowledges that the show has its fans and already the clip comments show as per this thread that it's a real Marmite effect with the show.
MickeyJoTheatre is a very entertaining reviewer and well worth a check for his other west end reviews.

For those that have seen this, would you go for - row C toward the side (seat 50) - row E toward the side (seat 50) (more toward the middle on the aisle) - row I which I think is the front row once the front stalls has spinned. (Toward the side I32)
For slightly cheaper there are row B48 of the stalls toward the side or M54
Thanks!

Enter 'the Sea Witch' and a bigger exit for stepmother, a shorter wedding, some CHF reprises cut, less male braggadocio, slightly more fairy tale feel. Belleville has gone stale way before time and the show has dated itself.

OK - so no one knows what ALW said that was "broadcast over speakers?"

OK - so no one knows what ALW said that was "broadcast over speakers?" I'm assuming it must be comments aimed at specific people and their costumes? I can't see anything else that could be complained about that could cause upset that could be changed with staging adjustments?

What Ive heard...
ALW called into dressing room speakers, from his mobile - whilst in Spain, to berate the cast and call them sh*t basically. After a critic from New York gave it a bad review.
Not on at all. They didn't write it, did they?
All to do with him wanting to take it to Broadway x
