See, I never liked CHF, but found her Watch Me Wednesday thing quite interesting, so sort of got watching that on a weekly basis and tolerated her a bit more.
This blog post (more like a dissertation!) is a prime example of why I actually can't bear her. The world is not ending Carrie, please, calm down

This blog post (more like a dissertation!) is a prime example of why I actually can't bear her. The world is not ending Carrie, please, calm down I’ve never liked her. She’s all about self promotion and manipulation but she doesn’t like the fact that through manipulating people and pretending to be their “friends” that vulnerable people might actually feel a connection to her and think she is their friend. She then makes all of her “hopelesses” side with her on twitter when someone questions her or things don’t go her own way. She’s great at playing the nice as pie victim but she needs to be called out. Without her stalkers she’d be nothing. Glad this forum seems to see her true colours because on twitter she is a goddess it seems. |

I am particularly enjoying this installment of Carrie V Twitter: she posted an IWD post, celebrating the erm Men in her life. And is now experiencing the backlash of it.
(FWIW, I do see she did so with the best of intentions 'these men made me the woman I am, yay equality' but again is being totally tone deaf to the responses)

Wow that was quite a long post she wrote! I’m not a fan (haven’t seen her in any shows) and don’t particularly dislike her either, but agree she doesn’t always come across well. Her “job” she says is making videos but then she doesn’t want attention? What does she think the purpose of her Youtube videos and oversharing is I wonder?

nah but honestly: doesn’t her career live from social media mostly? without it she would be one actress next to others and not so well known or chosen for roles

I’m finding this whole saga strangely addictive! Has anyone else seen the Instagram live/video posts she’s done in response to people’s comments on her IWD photos? (You don’t need to be a follower to view them). Wow, she likes a rant, as well as gesturing her hand a lot to make her point!

(You don’t need to be a follower to view them). Wow, she likes a rant, as well as gesturing her hand a lot to make her point! For someone who is taking a step back from social media she's sure doing a lot of ranting on it today... |

I couldnt help thinking there might be a purple My Little Pony somewhere out of shot here but then again she’d no doubt have mentioned it (along with the other adverts for people “who in no way sponsor me”)

I do think that was an honest bit of general chatter from her. When they're good, her videos are fun- like the Watch Me Wednesday ones for example. I have no issue with a theatre Youtuber- honestly I wish there were more. It's just when she gets on her high bloomin' horse! |

I’m pretty sure that on YouTube you have to disclose when you are being paid to promote a product. I’m sure, but does that count when you say “I’m not being sponsored “? She even admits a connection with the company who make the theatre seating plan art but then says “they don’t sponsor me”. No, but you just sponsored them in a big way. Look, I’m not daft, I know that she must get loads of questions from her fanclub “what’s that cute thing on your wall” “what’s that thing in the corner of the bedroom” “what’s your favourite tea pig” etc etc and she’s become very adept at just cancelling those out by saying upfront what everything that features in her video is. BUT this woman is continually using social media to promote herself and her products. Let’s not be naive eh. |

I don't use social media at all and this (although I have not seen any of these videos etc)seems to be a prime example of why not too. What has the world come to when people have to resort to such behaviour to either promote themselves. It just seems to me to be belittling themselves. Or as Dame Edna may say' Call me old fashioned'. It seems to me social media has a lot to answer for.

I've never really spent any time in the Performers and Creatives section, so what a treat it was to find a NINE PAGE THREAD on Carrie Hope Fletcher. Didn't realise she had so many fans on here, she must be our favourite actress!
