I'm not a big fan of making DMs public without permission, no matter who is doing it, unless the messages were actually abusive and/or continued after the sender was asked to stop. I suppose at least she didn't make the person's name public. I wouldn't have an issue with her arguing back if it was to a public comment on Instagram or some such, that's the risk someone takes when commenting on something. Agree. Public comments fair game Something just doesn’t sit right when she takes the trouble to publish private messages (which were not unreasonable) with the aim of digging in a little deeper to make her point. Arguing with someone on the front line about their experience seems off to me. It makes the argument about Carrie rather than about the subject being discussed.

Seems that way to me. I'm surprised she's done a tour, I assumed that was for more mature performers.

The tour is in 2023 (many have mistakenly rushed into thinking it’s this year according to Carrie’s IG story just now!) so there could be time before to head over to Broadway…

An hour into the pre-sale and there are no decent seats left for the Palladium date next May. Hopefully they've held plenty back. (Correction, that was Ticketmaster, LW Theatres have plenty) I'm amazed. She's booked into Norwich's Theatre Royal as part of this tour. Top price tickets are £100.50!!!!!!! I've never seen such pricing at the TR in over 30 years. And even more amazing (to me, but hey, what do I know), appear to have sold half the stalls in a couple of days.

Those will be for the VIP meet and greet tickets though right? The rest are much more reasonably priced.

£49 for all stalls and circle seats at the Lowry. Upper circle looks to be £39.

It is being promoted by Cuffe & Taylor who are very heavy paperers, so if there are empty seats there won’t be come 8pm.

Does the artist get paid up front? If there are so many empty seats who covers the loss of an ego project?

Not that well for Salford. Not yet anyway. I mean, I know it’s a long way off but the fan base will have purchased right away I’m sure. Some of the stalls look to have been held back or are with agencies?

Some of the stalls look to have been held back or are with agencies? Yes looks similar in a few of the theatres with blocks of seats in odd places greyed out. Seems to suggest held by agencies. My question still stands. How does an company /artist make money

With concerts it depends on the deal between the artist's management and the promoter. The artist either has a set fee per show or is paid a percentage of proceeds. Some artists might have a mixture or even a deal in their favour. But if CHF has a set fee per concert then the promoter looks at venues in whichever cities they want to visit and books them according to that. Also venue fees play a part for if you can get a similar sized venue much cheaper the promoter logically goes for that.
Who pays for rehersals I don't know and how the fee for the backing band is worked out, I'd like to know. Would CHF's management be given or ask for a bulk fee to cover their cut, Carrie's money, paying for her band, how many members are in this etc.
Merchandise is also likely tied in on who gets the money for this and even Meet and Greets if artist is prepared to do these, how many per show, cost, type of packages available and which way the cut goes. Promoters could offer a bigger fee to cover everything or have it based on cut of various tour money streams and likewise artist management might prefer one or other.
CHF with her fanbase would likely be a big merch seller and her M and G's selling out or being very popular so she'd have good revenue streams from these which other acts may not have but they may well sell more tickets than she does for example. But if she does okay ticket sales then tour can still be profitable as her other revenues are so good on tour.

I see that Carrie Hope is making her panto debut in the Marlow Theatre production of Sleeping Beauty, alongside Ore Oduba. Oh yes she is. Now that she's joined the Evolution family, I wonder if we'll be seeing her in Sheffield at some point. I know where I'd rather spend Christmas, and it aint Dunstable!

Is this just another box ticked on her CV? Seems a long way from the heady heights of titular lead in a West End original cast Andrew Lloyd Webber.

According to her social media Carrie was assaulted today at Lambeth North station, on her way to a photoshoot for the Caucasian Chalk Circle. http://instagram.com/p/CgxPY89sagk I'm in that area often so I find her story pretty terrifying - I hope she's doing ok! I'm considering seeing the Treason concert, but the WEL performance didn't really sell it to me to be honest.

It's not just something specific to Lambeth North. It's become a sad fact of city life that you should never take your phone out like this as you come out of an underground or train station, or waiting to cross the road because these thieves on bikes pray on distracted people checking their phones for directions or scrolling waiting for the lights to change. It's happened to a few friends of mine & I've wisenessed it happen to other people myself.
Still an awful thing to happen to anyone.

A couple of months ago I went to the Greggs in Holborn for a coffee during my break at work, but when I was just about to walk in a man brushed past me and blatantly put his hand into my jacket pocket, obviously hoping to find something! Thankfully I was on the phone so had it at my ear and I don’t carry cash or cards on me anymore so my pocket was totally empty, but it was still pretty scary! Carrie said she was punched in the chest though, I can imagine that must’ve really shaken her.

She's just got engaged to Joel Montague (currently the king in Hamilton).
