It's their marketing choice and it clearly works for them.
Anyone who finds it irritating or inappropriate surely the answer is just to unsubscribe to the mail outs ?

They Probably announce it like this so people can roll their eyes, as clearly no ones feedback gets to them.

According to a new email, now booking to June 7. Seems to indicate there'll be a second cast change. On a personal note, however, I'm really getting peeved off with all these miniscule extensions and the multitude of emails off the back of it. Just accept that you're an open run and release blocks at a time like Lion King, or Phantom or Wicked for goodness sake! Got to maintain the brand identity of 'the little show that's clinging on bravely in the big world, despite the odds...' I love the show, but yes, that's got a bit old now.

There is a big old unsubscribe button at the bottom of the emails if you don't like them, or even the ability to modify what type of comms you get from them....Even the fact people are complaining about it here means their marketing and promotion is working. Their retention/repeat customer rates for this show must be huge, along with the extended run announcements getting new audience buzz too. Not many shows can boast the fact they have sold out performances well into next year.
I'd be interested to know how the £25 ballot odds work, as I seem to win it 1 in every 4 draws. Which seems a lot more than others?

I do understand there is an unsubscribe button, thank you.

I do understand there is an unsubscribe button, thank you. There's your answer then. Why continue to receive something that causes irritation which is a negative emotion ?

Because I want to be informed about the show as a whole.
It's a hugely successful show, it's on Broadway soon - it doesn't need to keep announcing microscopic extensions.

I wonder if it means the cast & crew are also receiving tiny contract extensions?

I thought when this transferred to the Fortune, it would struggle, be an easy ticket to snag on rush, then after 3 months the show would be done. Well I was wrong, I’m surprised the show hasn’t announced a tour as yet.
If they did the same path as Six, play a Xmas sit down in the small theatre at the Lowry to build a base to tour.

I wonder if they’ll wait to see how it does on Broadway before a tour. If the broadway show ends relatively quickly then the original cast could do a UK tour to celebrate their return. If they’re a smashing success on Broadway then they might announce a separate cast (although idk if they’d be able to afford running a simultaneous Bway West End and tour like Six can)

I’m telling you, all these extensions is just so they can put on a poster “the most extended west end show in history!”.
