That's unexpected, I checked two weeks ago with a friend's email and have won on the first try... :/ If anybody has a link and won't be using it, please reach out via dm! I think there’s something in the lottery system that makes you more likely to succeed if you’re a new sign-up, but then going forwards it’s increasingly unlikely Sure, that makes sense, that's why I tried it out with my friend's email, to use mine today. Ech, such a shame

I check every time there’s a drawing and honestly at this point I have not had a successful draw in over a year. I don’t know about the success rate of other lottery systems but it feels like a pointless exercise at this point It is when everything goes in the first few minutes after the superfans take them all! I find it rather odd that the lottery allows up to 8 tickets to be booked by 1 person. As far as I can recall, most other lottery/rush/day seat schemes that I've tried or heard about usually only allow 2 tickets per person. If Operation Mincemeat did that then it would allow 4 times as many entrants to win per lottery.

Exactly I think it’s been mentioned before but what happens is the superfans buy the 8 each for pretty much every show and swap them around between themselves and sell off what they don’t use on socials. It’s wrong and should not be the case but like with everything else for this show it’s a strange way to do things

Just got an email, I won the ballot but from March 2025 and with no discounts...

It's separate to the lottery, it's for full price seats, but for the most popular/cheap nights before going on sale to the general public. Saying that, on all the dates I clicked on, only the back row of the upper circle was available...

This is the ballot that gives you first access to the new extension dates so you can snap up the much more popular Monday tickets. It's not the £25 ticket ballot - that happens every other week on a Wednesday.

Had the code been applied to your search?

Not too fussed, I'd be more interested in dates in the next booking period.

A mail out just went out with an American phone number and an extension, so I obviously called it and it goes to a recorded answering service saying that the broadway cast are still pending, and then to leave a message. You then hear several voicemails from Monty suggesting people like Tom cruise, Tom hiddlestone etc to play him. The voice playing Monty is definitely not Natasha, not sure if that’s significant though.

Just for anyone who can't be bothered to call the number themselves - that is without a doubt Tash playing Monty on the voicemails.

There’s a new extension to call and it is now revealed that the whole original London cast are transferring.

I still want to know who is going to be playing Jean in London! And if Claire will return to the show here once her Broadway run ends.

I know it’s kind of in the spirit of the show to have misdirection in the marketing, but it is quite a wild goose chase all around the houses to just end up with the inevitable original cast transfer. Literally the only reason anyone worried otherwise was the general fan view that the producers are weirdly incompetent

If anyone wants to see the show cheap(ish), today is your chance. I have a spare ticket for today's matinee (which is captioned), companion seat for £45 in the dress circle, as my friend is ill and can't make it. Only caveat, you have to deal with me

Is silent non-existing music normal for the show or this theatre? Saw it yesterday and the only number that sounded properly was the Act 2 opener (loud enough, high quality, rich). All the rest of the songs sounded like they lowered the volume to 50% of the usual London theatre and it sounded awful. Which is a shame, cause the music so so good, it took a lot from the experience. I sat in the stalls G4.

This seems to have gone incredibly under the radar, I hadn’t seen any tweets from the show about it, but the new Jean is Madeleine Jackson-Smith.

I will say sometimes the band drowns out the performers but it's rare. Usually with All the Ladies song, but the others are fine. Act 2 opener is actually really loud. So maybe technical difficulties?

So maybe technical difficulties? Act 2 opener sounded great, so I don't think it was technical difficulties, it sounded/looked like a choice. I even asked the ushers during interval and they said that it's set like it's supposed to... My assumption was: let's prioritize the vocals as there are tons of words and jokes, even if the music suffers. And that worked pretty well, I could hear them perfectly, but that wouldn't be my preference I think.

I’ve felt on multiple viewings that the music is a bit quiet under the vocals, but then I (perhaps controversially) love shows that push the volume up. Sometimes I’ve felt it more strongly than other times so I guess seat location is a pretty big factor. Its never affected my enjoyment of the thing though in fairness.

The act 2 opener is the only song that isn’t played live by the band, it’s entirely done with recorded music and effects so that’s why it will sound different to the rest of the show

I moved my question about production costs for this show (West End vs Broadway) over to the International thread. If you have the knowledge I'm all ears.

According to a new email, now booking to June 7. Seems to indicate there'll be a second cast change.
On a personal note, however, I'm really getting peeved off with all these miniscule extensions and the multitude of emails off the back of it. Just accept that you're an open run and release blocks at a time like Lion King, or Phantom or Wicked for goodness sake!
