In my experience it’s a bit luck of the draw with lottery availability. The first time I won it was quite early on and there were seats everywhere (including front row dress circle) for dates well in advance. Other times it has been upper circle only and only for the next fortnight, as is now the norm. I won this week and there was availability all over (including front row stalls and dress circle) but I think that’s because they’ve extended the eligibility period to cover the Christmas season. No Mondays and Tuesdays though. At least with the new extension it’s safer to hold out for a win where some good seats are on offer! Thanks for the info! Yeah, holding out for good seats might not be a good idea for me coming from abroad 😅 but it's good to know that it's possible.

If you don’t have much flexibility on dates but have the option to book far in advance, it’s definitely worth booking via their mailing list link for the better seats, especially for the cheaper early-week performances. Just looked at a couple of Mondays in January/February for example and there are some decent stall seats for £40.

The lottery does have stalls tickets but they tend to go within a couple of minutes. The fans of this one are very on the ball with the lottery and ready to grab seats as soon as they get a link. The tickets in the top level tend to stick around a lot longer but are pretty uncomfortable if you're above average height.

Quite annoying that the fan base, who go multiple times a week, are most likely taking all the good seats, stopping others who have probably never seen the show before from getting a good deal.

Guess it depends how you look at it, the fans are probably the ones who have helped spread the good word of mouth that keeps it extending. There's nothing to stop anyone else entering the lottery and getting those seats, it's randomly selected, but I guess they are just particularly organised.

True but we benefit on Theatreboard all the time with people sharing offers, reminders about on sale dates, tips to get tickets, all of which push non-theatre fans in general to the back of the line. I'd find it hard to get too upset that there are die hard Mincemeat fans willing to put the energy into the same sort of thing but on their one particular show.

This is also my view. “You gotta want it”. I remember queuing at 4am for Idina Wicked day seats and not being even close to the front of the queue. If people are that desperate they’ll find a way, like I did. We always share tricks on here (like I’ve tried to wherever I can, such as for My Neighbour Totoro) - there’s no difference in my view.

I went last night for my third visit, last minute ticket as I’d had a rotten few days. Both Christian and Geri were on as covers. It’s still brilliant on repeat repeat viewing!!! Still laughing out loud, still misty eyed at various moments. I can see how people who are that way inclined and have the time to devote can become very dedicated Uberfans.

Just announced - holding open auditions in London and Manchester for contracts beginning in April. And I believe some auditions have already taken place, so perhaps they didn't find what they were looking for and want to widen the net?

Has there been any inkling when the original cast will be leaving?

Has there been any inkling when the original cast will be leaving? The WhatsOnStage article suggest the new cast would begin performances in April. Seems like a very short turnaround?

I think it's rehearsals in April, performances from May

Sorry if I’ve missed this but do we know who in the cast is leaving?

Yet to be confirmed, or when the last date will be. Hoping the fans get a coded tip off to ensure we can all be there to wish the those leaving a fond farewell.

I reckon those tickets will be like gold dust, especially given the size of the theatre! I might just settle for seeing it (at least) one more time with the current cast even if it's not on the last night.

And again, it's been extended until November 16th.

I'm not as familiar with West End scheduling practices/extensions (vs Broadway). What are the chances this extends again? I'll be overseas next January and was considering stopping in London for a couple days to see a few shows, this one in particular.

It's hugely popular and the theatre is small so I think further extensions are quite likely.

They've essentially tied themselves to the Fortune (Horrendous theatre, by the way!) and wasn't the Fortune meant to close for renovation following The Woman in Black with Mincemeat being a filler show? It could move theatre, but with the plaque it's unlikely, surely?

Very happy it keeps getting extended as it is completely deserved! I've seen it 4 times now (once at SWP, 3 times at Fortune) and have booked it 3 more.

Are the original leads still performing regularly? I had heard some of them call out often. Wondered if that was still the case.

Someone on reddit is claiming that the show will be getting a Broadway transfer this year...
