Got really excited when I clicked on the link in the latest mailing and several seats were marked at ten pounds off the usual price (so a Monday show would be £29.50). Only to find when I clicked on the seat I wanted that it was a group rate for 6+ people. So I have been caught out by this on other nights. Yes I didn't look at what I was doing and assumed if a price is advertised as a promo price with green stars that would be a special promo price. Sadly ATG just blamed me and it is very misleading indeed especially as the yellow seats have the same promo and are not advertised as such. After the visit I have booked in error I will not be returning to the show and frankly they are taking the micky now with prices as well as the already discussed issues with the structure of seat prices. Wednesdays put up to £70 a pop and the Monday special prices reserved for those that are on the mailing list and have probably seen it before otherwise you have to pay through the nose. What a way to limit your run which may for now trade off the back of word of mouth but who is really going to pay £70+ for a show (although this ground is already well covered here).

I've already booked a Monday performance on one of the new dates but have the Tuesday (evening) prices gone up again?

I love the show but it really is getting ridiculous now. However, as it seems to be selling well I can't see them changing this pricing strategy any time soon. I'd like to think it can't get any more expensive at this point, but who knows...!

My next door neighbour was telling me today he was trying to book for Jan/Feb of next year and said there were only a few seats showing for every single performance. I thought this was a bit odd so just looked myself and it's true. I've tried ATG and Operation Mincemeat website and it's the same. Anyone have any ideas what's going on?

Having a look at the ATG website, it's showing every Monday bar one during the November-February extension as already sold out. If that's true, and not that they're holding back tickets for some reason, then that means anyone who wants to see the show during that period who hasn't been able to already book - 4+ months in advance - is going to have to pay a minimum of £49.50. That counts me out for one. I had been going to try to find out if a couple of the understudies had any dates scheduled later in the run but I guess there's no point asking now that I won't be able to afford a ticket anyway.
ETA Sorry alece10, my comment is a cross post & isn't meant to be a reply to yours.

All of the seats on sale are premium seats priced at £89.50. The other seats haven’t been released for sale, and are cheaper. This is undeniably a tactic to secure the most money possible from advance bookers. If you want to book this far in advance - and some do - then this is the price, like it or lump it. If cheaper seats were available people would go for those, which would devalue the premium seats demand and therefore result in lost profit. Pretty cynical.

It's really weird, even with the link with the Monday seats in, all Mondays are supposedly sold out from November to February, except for January 29th which has lots and lots of seats. I'm not sure what they are up to, probably trying to rush people into panic buying before releasing more later. I've decided with the misleading "promo price", the Monday shenanigans and the OTT price rises it will only be any lottery wins I get from now on.

I love this show. Had a great time and think it's wonderful to have a proper new musical in the West End. But my god, it's a 'fringe style' production with a small cast, small band, small set. Incredibly cheeky to be charging £90 for a ticket in the upper circle. I know that the Fortune Theatre is small but, personally speaking, I hate heights so would feel ultra ripped off sitting up there at £90 - and again, I loved the show.

I don't know what goes on behind the scenes by perhaps it's to cover the costs of the overheads? I mean how much does it cost to rent a West theatre for a period of time? I've got no idea.

Do you think that the show will go on after february 2024? I will visit London again in march and I’m curious to this show.

I had a look at the dates for Plaza Suite, which I also want to see and note that it finishes on 31st March which is a Sunday, so I can book it for Sunday, leaving my Saturday evening slot free to book OM if it extends again.

Hey there, does anyone know if there is any way to get cheaper tickets to this show on a Thursday or Friday? On the website I can see it is much cheaper earlier in the week but I am only in London briefly towards the end of a week. I've not seen this show on TodayTix which is my usual go-to for cheaper/late seat booking.

I think there is a kind of lottery they do otherwise its not discounted and the price goes up a tenner each day until Fri/Sat.

They do a fornightly lottery but obviously not a guarentee you'll win (I'm still trying to and I've entered every week since it opened) www.operationmincemeat.com/lottery

I booked instead for a Monday or Tuesday each time but it's tough on people who can't do that. This is a promoter and show which seems to have adopted a successful financial ticketing structure to generate maximum income and profits. Can't really blame that for that but hope the cast and crew are getting a fair share of the plunder.

Finally won the lottery today. I checked the email as it came in and there were lots of seats available, mainly in the Upper Circle but also in the Stalls and Dress Circle, so I've nabbed a Dress Circle seat for next Friday. Curious after all the hype to find out what I make of it.

Have Row C in the Upper Circle.

sorry if it's been discussed or I should know but what is the cast situation for this show? Should we make an effort to see it soon/are originals leaving/have they already left?

sorry if it's been discussed or I should know but what is the cast situation for this show? Should we make an effort to see it soon/are originals leaving/have they already left? They haven't left yet and there has been no announcement. All of the cast has equal billing - even the understudies (in the programme at least!). I saw Christian Andrews as Leggett and Sean Carey as Cholmondeley when I saw it and both were brilliant - I really wouldn't worry about seeing an alternate (or understudy? I'm not even sure what they are, to be honest!). I have to admit, though, I think I would have been gutted to have missed Natasha Hodgson - she is just wonderful.
