I searched for a thread on this as I swear I've seen one but couldn't find anything, apologies if this is a double.
Does anybody else watch this? I've been hooked since the very start, Diane Lockhart was my favourite from The Good Wife and of course it's Christine Baranski which makes it a must see in my eyes as she is always good value. Plus Cush Jumbo and Sarah Steele who are both outstanding. It's also still relatively rare to have such a female centric cast
They also seem to use a host of Broadway names in the cast, Audra McDonald is a series regular, Bernadette Peters was in Season 1 and last week Aaron Tveit popped in for a brief appearance along with Kate Shindle and Katie Finneran (it's a bit like Law & Order: SVU for spotting stage actors in small roles). Michael Sheen is also featured at the moment (over?) playing a truly monstrous character.
The writing is spot on and is not afraid to tackle fairly hot button issues. I do think there's been a slight tonal shift this series which I'm not entirely sure I'm on board with, will need to wait and see. If anybody watched the series Braindead (totally crazy but very entertaining) from the same creative team, they seem to be incorporating elements of that style into The Good Fight which may not be a good fit

My mum is obsessed with this show and I’ve seen a few eps. It’s good, I need to watch back from the beginning. Christine Baranski is great!

I've recently finished watching The Good Wife and jumped straight into the first episode of The Good Fight but I think I need some time to move on from TGW mentally because the fact that Diane Lockhart was in a show that was tonally different to what I'd been watching for 7 seasons was a bit jarring to me. Looking forward to watching it at some point though.

I love The Good Fight! And the broadway star spots would take forever, they honestly never stop appearing just like in The Good Wife.

The Good Wife is one of my favourite shows, I loved Braindead, but unfortunately I just couldn't warm up to The Good Fight despite the fact that I love Christine Baranski, Cush Jumbo and Sarah Steele characters. I made it through the first two seasons, but I'm not sure if I'm going to watch the third. My friend has actually started a list with all the Broadway stars appearances, both in TGW and TGF, and it got pretty big  |

*waves* Me! I'm a fan although it's still not hitting the highs of The Good Wife, I fear. Finding it hard to warm to Rose Leslie (plays Maia). Christine Baranski and the whole Trump thing is quite fun. The Michael Sheen is utterly nutty and I'm not sure it fits the series ...

Well I was a fan of series 1 and 2, but this latest series (I'm watching at More4 pace) isn't working for me at the moment. Am probably going to persevere for another episode or two in the hope it'll improve.

I love it! I find it both laugh out loud and challenging in the topics it addresses and the acting is divine.

Another big fan here. I watched The Good Wife from the beginning (Josh Charles.... swoon....) And watching The Good Fight at US pace. Michael Sheen and the weekly cartoon bits don't work. The writing in both shows have been spot on, clever, timely and thought provoking, but i feel that they have gone too far this time. Previously they had the odd, quirky judge, Elizabeth Tascioni, and goat videos, but now it all seems just a bit too much and take some shine off what was so great about it. They already have amazing characters and fantastic actors to carry the show, it doesnt need everything else. Don't get me wrong, it still one of my favourite shows on TV, but if they can get Eli Gold to come in for a few episodes, then all will be forgiven!
Cush Jumbo is my favourite in it now, her deadpan comedy and timing are perfect.

I think i watched it too close to The Good Wife (which I didn't see first time around but became obsessed with on Netflix) and as others say it doesn't quite hit those highs. That said, it's still good and I've been recording this current series, so I will catch up soon!

So reassuring that other people watch and are also having similar thoughts to me about the latest series and it's 'quirks'. It's highly unusual that virtually all of my friends don't watch this so I can't discuss it with them and that's even in spite of (or maybe because of??) my raving about it.

This has become the girls' guilty pleasure viewing in my house although it has gone rather silly and I can't understand why - it's not like that they don't have just the odd few themes there that they could explore properly...Did the writers just get bored? Still, I'm not going to complain at anything that tackles Trump, has the great Marissa, who has to be one of my favourite characters in anything ever, and yes please to Eli coming back too. Although he's probably too caught up with saving New York from a long list of serial killers in "Instinct" - another guilty pleasure that I'm embarrassingly pleased is coming back for Season 2.
And has anyone seen the incredibly addictive "Call My Agent" on Netflix for some really serious French screen cameos?

I love it more than TGW, as I never liked Julianna Margulies as an actress. I love the guest star lawyers and judges. You get some very hammy “Broadway” performances but most are a lot of fun! Christine Lahti always raises everyone else’s game.
Also it’s great to see Delroy Lindo get a juicy role deserving of his talents.

I adore this show - and one of the things which I love about it is the casting - unlike the Law & Order series which highlighted the best of NY dramatic actors, The Good Wife and The Good Fight highlight the best of NY's Musical Theatre performers giving them a chance to show us their acting chops as well. It's a forcefully written and performed series that is I think among the best on TV.

After the last 2 episodes, i'm starting to warm up to Michael Sheen's character. Probably because he hasn't been so OTT as he was in his first few episodes.
Also, what has happened to Mia??
