I thought yesterday’s episode dipped slightly in quality - though I loved the dropping of the wine bottle, and Alison shouting over the noisy ghosts no-one else could see or hear!

That's actually the thing that's annoying me. Alison is perfectly aware that nobody else can see or hear them and as such it's a ridiculous convoluted excuse for a gag to have her shout. Hmm, that’s an interesting one. Personally I don’t struggle too much with it. I think they’ve established pretty well they seem so alive to her at times (not to mention hard to ignore, especially in that scene!) that it’s easy for her to forget there’s another world beyond the one she inhabits with them. |

The Wikipedia page says it was originally intended as a pre-watershed show, but even so ratingswise it seems to be doing well in its slot.

Bags of potential for stories if they do, I think. Yet to see the final episode, but been loving it. Imagine a spin off series in a theatre! |

Excellent finish yesterday, gonna miss those spooks each Monday. Hope they get a second series and they find a way of turning the place into a haunted hotel. Bags of potential for stories if they do, I think. Caught up with the last episode. A great way to end the series and with so much potential for future series as you say. I really do hope that the powers that be at the BBC will commission another series. A fantastic watch with some really clever writing and performances. Also agree with @remark , this really could be good fun if the writers could get this on stage somehow. Id certainly buy a ticket if it happened. |

It really does get better, there's a brilliant linking joke between the last two episodes episode 5, the pigeon is killed. Episode 6, it's a ghost! A bit like the red bag in series 3 of League of Gentlemen, links each episode together, the pigeon has *i think* featured in all episodes. |

yes, it wasn't a great episode, but it is still a joy to have the gang back. Some giddy camerawork going on this time, and a lot of separate dramatic threads being pulled together. Not a funny episode but still decapitated head and shoulders above other half hour shows. have we got everyone's back stories now?

Not a classic I think but satisfied me. They've filmed it very well to make it look like they're in the same place when they were following distancing/bubble rules.
Well we don't know about Robin or Kitty do we? Or why Mary got burnt? Or in fact how the Captain died though since we had a story possibly not getting that?

It's lovely to have it back. I'm going to resist the urge to binge because it's nice to have something to look forward to week by week as the nights draw in (it's still a bit too sunny for ghosts in August!).
