Felt like a terribly long show and some rather lacklustre performances. Am I cynical to think that Kelvin was deliberately put at the endto keep everyone watching? I knew they’d pull him down after last week, possibly he was a bit cocky and needed it. I thought Visage was boring and she’s already started doing the “mother” thing. Huge ad for Drag Race UK though of course which just happens to be on BBC3. I feel sorry for Mike Bushell, already picked out as this year’s clown. Predictable. We were at a wedding last night so watched today. I said to my husband If she mentions her age or her two child births again I'll scream. Not sure if she did as I fast forwarded quite a lot of the dialogue. She is a pretty amazing dancer but if she's starting to irritate people already, she won't get the votes.

Anyone else think Will Bayley looks like a 1980's singer, I cannot decide whether it's Marc Almond or Phil Oakey when he had his hair cut shorter.
Will is doing amazingly well for someone with a condition ( I dislike the word disability) and could be a dark horse to go a long way. Other Paralympians have gone deep into the contest and Will could do so too.

She mentioned it nearly as many times as Emma Barton did the "King of Ballroom"....

I’m also fed up with Anneka Rice doing the ever so humble, self-effacing shtick. She was hung out to dry in week one with that dreadful flat footed Cha Cha routine in that horrible costume including flat boots, but this weeks performance suggests that there may be some skill there. So stop telling us how rubbish you are, show some respect for the person training you and demonstrate some confidence and self belief please.

Anneka did years of TV work in pressured situations, has done Panto, the Vagina Monologues etc so is used to performing and making a spectacle of herself. Fair enough he is over 60 now so it's different to being a boisterous 20 something but she isn't like some sort of non performing novice she is trying to make out.

I’m waiting for the first report of who had dance training as a child or teen. Who this year will get the full internet bile load?

Karim is the one with the most stage experience I believe.

Maybe I'm just getting grumpy in my old age but this series is even worse than last year (and I thought that was awful).
Catherine gave the Rumba a decent go tonight but otherwise the only person who was even remotely good was Kelvin, and he definitely didn't deserve 10s! Dev was ok but Couple's Choice is a bit of a cheat as there was no technique to judge him on.
I wouldn't have given anyone else more than a 5 or 6, and I really don't get the fuss about Michelle Visage - I thought she was awful tonight, the biggest dose of overmarking in a very long time!

Tens in week three. Ridiculous.
Michelle Visage is a judge on Rupauls Drag Race UK which started this week. Just saying.

Michelle Visage is a judge on Rupauls Drag Race UK which started this week. Just saying. Oh yes, I know that, the evident bias is awful even by BBC standards. The worst part of it is that she isn't even the most irritating contestant this year! Next week I'm just going to watch Kelvin & Oti's dance on iPlayer after it has aired. Nothing much else worth bothering about on tonight's evidence!

Very inconsistent scoring again this week. Kelvin was excellent but I don’t agree with 10’s in week three. Catherine was massively over-marked. Motsi is irritating me in the way she has to over emphasis every word she says. In a surprise twist I actually quite liked the dress Tess wore this week.

I liked Kelvin but overmarked and also liked Chris. “From South Shields to Hollywood” as Tess said 😀

I get the feeling the judges have been put under pressure to give marks that can be hailed as "the highest ever score in week x," or "the first dance y of the series has never scored that high before." Feels like there's been at least half a dozen highest ever scores already this series.

Tens in week 3 is very early. Jay McGuinness got a 10 early on the week he won. No tens for Kelvin and Oti from Motsi so fair judging there. Craig going to 9 this early is like the other judges going to 10 IMO.

The high scores do seem to be handed out far too easily and early, particularly with Michelle. It is so obvious they are overpraising her, as people have suggested because of Ru Paul's Drag Race. It leaves a sour taste in the mouth and it's very hard not to think the producers are meddling in the scores.
I love Will, perhaps it's a cliche to say watching him overcome his condition and perform lifts etc is a joy to watch, but he himself is a joy to watch. He has fun and I look forward to him every week. Even though they gave him that God awful Pokemon Paso.
I miss Darcy, I was always a fan anyway, but she added another element to the panel.

People are entitled to their opinions - your post is the equivalent of saying every theatre production should get at least some good reviews...

I thought Michelle was good, yes overmarked but so were quite a few people, BBC employees or not. I didn't even think it was the most obvious overmarked dance of the night.
I think it's more to do with the ridiculous mark inflation we've had over the last few years. 9s used to be an incredible achievement now they're just a step on the way to a 10. Same with the reaction, standing ovations used to be rare now you get at least 2 or 3 a show and now judges standing ovations are becoming commonplace. Now that 10's aren't special you end up having to hand out more and more to amp up the spectacle.
Plus the show is now more juvenile, Chris got rubbish marks but at least he danced to a appropriate piece of music from a film associated with dancing and wasn't forced to dress up like a panda or pokemon and struggle to dance to music that doesn't fit the dance style. And that's without mentioning the 'comedy' VT's or the decline in quality of the professional routines in terms of choreography.
The ratings have slipped this year after taking a bit of a hit last year as well so maybe they're due a rethink.

I don't think I have seen a worse dance off performance than that 'Charleston' - it was atrocious. The choreo was weak and the dancing weaker.

I criticised you for not bothering to contribute substantively to the discussion - no point in you complaining if you can't be bothered to actually contribute, that's just a bit childish.
