Anyone know if there's a way of getting the under-25 tickets from the TodayTix offer? I might have just got there too late.

(also - has it been mentioned anywhere that although Its the same creative team its a new production? I'm too lazy to scroll back through the threat, and but the blurb on the YV website doesn't mention it... but it is) Yes I believe the director mentioned that in a small blurb when it first got announced.

Thanks for this everyone, ironically I am at a funeral on Friday morning so this has taken the stress out of trying to get tickets before we have to set off!

They just had a piece on Front Row, second item in - Tony Kushner picked it for their queer icons series.

It sounds good, btw - the Front Row item had clips from some of the songs.

Do we think this will sell out immediately? Add me to the list of people who aren't around during public booking opening, and probably won't get chance until Sunday/Monday at the earliest. Really want to see it though.

I don't think it'll sell out crazy quickly- no big name attached, a long way off and while it's known in the musical theatre community it's not a BIG known piece either. I think there'll be a bit of a scrum but there'll still be tickets.

Top tip - check the website before 10:00 on Friday. They often open booking a bit early.

Seems like you can book tickets on YV site now as non-member

Thanks for the heads up - managed to get tickets before the booking was returned to members only!!
Had a slight OCD moment when there was no seating chart for guidance but went with top price preview tickets which hopefully shouldn't be too bad.

Me too. It's in the round isn't it? So short of the guest appearance of a pillar or the seats facing the wall we should be fine.

I saw it in the round on Broadway and it worked brilliantly but the US Tour is on a traditional stage/set up so I'm not too sure what this one is ? Unless someone else knows more than me Hopefully it sticks to the 'round' set up.

I read it is going to be in the round at the Young Vic. It may have been in the round on Broadway but it still felt like there was a clear front. Seeing as this will be a new production, I wonder if Mr Gold will fix that?

Seeing as this will be a new production, I wonder if Mr Gold will fix that? There was a small entrance point at one side of the stage between the instrumentalists but there was still a row of seats above that so it still felt very much fully round. But then again, I was the opposite side of the doorway so maybe people in those rows didn't feel the same as I did. The cast also entered the stage from down below, the floor lowered at several points and cast would come up on a lift, much like the Genie in Aladdin or how several pop stars do in concerts. It's a fairly short show at 1hour 40/45minutes without an interval and I hope they keep it like that, it works very well and at no point did I lose interest. It flowed very well.

I was sitting at the side, and the blocking made me very aware that I was sitting at the side. Some directors are better than others at directing in the round.

I was sat behind the band and the 'set' and it definitely didn't feel like an in the round production. In fact I had to think carefully about booking again for this as my seat/the direction in regards to my seat left me feeling very negatively about the whole thing.

Hmm, I sat at the 'front' and at the side and was equally impressed with both. I can imagine how the 'back' would be slightly worse though.

I saw the show four times on Broadway from four different places, and sat behind the band once. It was Rebecca Luker's last show and I'm so glad I went that day, but it would've been a terrible seat if it'd been my first and/or only exposure to the show.

I bought a ticket in person at the Young Vic box office the day they went on sale (having, yes, already bought one via the Today Tix presale - I just happened to be passing the Young Vic that afternoon). For what it's worth, when I was deliberating how much to spend, the lady behind the counter told me they didn't sell restricted view seats. ...which is a good thing, since I have £10 seats booked for 'Wings' and both parts of 'The Inheritance'.
