I did, great stalls seat for £29.50. I guess they’ll be few and far between this week but possibly the first week of January they’ll be readily available. Thanks! I hope I'll be able to grab one for the matinee of January 2, although that still seems to be a very busy date! Worth keeping an eye on dynamic pricing too through the Elf website. There’s some for tonight reduced to £35/47 for example which whilst more than dayseats is still a lot less than full price.

I got a day seat for 49.50 pounds today, centre of row D. I was there at 11.50, there were only three people waiting already. I enjoyed the show a lot. Simon Lipkin and Rebecca Lock were very good indeed.

The day seats are 49.50?!?!?!? Their website states 29.50 but Theatremonkey warns us that they may also be 49.50 (Thanks once more, Theatremonkey!)

There are 2 prices for the day seats. The £29.50 ones are on the sides and the £49.50 ones are more central and both depend on availability each day.

Since when were day seats for ELF £50?! Have a word I bought 2 day seats on 26th for £49.50 each. Great seats and loved the show. It’s a limited run during it’s biggest week. I thought it a good value as I live in NY and have limited options.

Saw this last year . Hopefully there will be some chances of cheap tickets this year. I saw Matthew Wolfenden in "A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum" years ago.

Any buzz on how this year's show is looking? Trying to figure out if it's worth picking up tickets for my family.

I think Ben Forster is his alternate, so a bit of a luxury understudy given he’s led the show before as Buddy.

Ben Forster? Last we heard of him in relation to Elf was his £1.7m lawsuit.

My apologies. I heard one of the cast say he was on a podcast. But it’s Ben Lancaster.

I saw this on Friday with a Rush ticket, which was a few rows back, although at the extreme aisle side. The view was absolutely fine and I think had I been in the noisier sections I wouldn't have enjoyed this so much (although I did have to move a lot to let the people with weak bladders out of the row).
The only other version I've seen of this was the arena tour. I much preferred this version. The book is a bit different (I presume updated based on some of the references), but everything sounded and looked good.
I don't follow Emmerdale or Dancing on Ice, so I don't know much about Matthew Wolfenden, who played Buddy. A good actor, decent enough dancer, the vocals weren't as strong but he was perfectly serviceable. The highlights were Tom Chambers (who could have done with more dancing) and Rebecca Lock. A treat to spot former Newsies super swing Morgan Gregory in the ensemble as well.
Not something I'd rush back to, but I'd be quite happy to see this again next year. The whole theatre seemed decently full as well, especially considering it's not even December yet.
