Last night I spent a wonderful evening watching this fabulous show. The film really does do it justice doesn’t it? I think I may well keep my subscription going, there’s loads to watch.

Maybe it's an age thing, but some of us like to physically own music, images and words! For me it's not an "age" thing but a "not wanting to be arbitrarily deprived of something I love at some random time in the future because a contract gets changed" thing. |

I watched my umpteenth screening of this last night, and it is certainly a show that keeps giving. What a slick, exhilarating ride it is. For the company, it could never have been a show that you could ever give less that 100% to. And the organisation backstage must have been extraordinary. Oh the joy of that staircase after Julian's moment of drama in the dark. Thrilled to see this show again. In it's recent London run where the plans afoot for the building that it closed seemingly early, or just the sheer expense of keeping it going? So glad that this was filmed, even with the rather alarming on stage close ups.

So glad that this was filmed, even with the rather alarming on stage close ups. That's quite spooky as last night I was watching some YouTube clips of the London production and remembering the wonderful nights I had watching it. I went 11 times in total including the final night when I sat in the front row. I swear it was the most amazing and emotional night in the theatre ever. I remember at the end of the staircase number the whole audience got to their feet and I have been told there was a 14 minute standing ovation with most of the cast in tears. At the end of the show the producers, Linnet and Grade (who were sitting in one of the royal boxes) had their phones out filming the audience reaction. They must have been so proud of what they had achieved. No one wanted to leave at the end and the ushers had a hard job clearing the theatre. Also most of the front few rows were filled with forum members so it was great so meet so many. A few of the cast had posted clips of the last night on Instagram which were great to see, but I cant seem to find any of them on YouTube which is a shame as I would love to see some. I don't think London will ever see the likes of such a huge show ever again and I am just so happy I got to see it so many times. |

So glad that this was filmed, even with the rather alarming on stage close ups. The broadway revival ran for 4 years so they definitely could have managed to keep it running for a few more years. Most likely the building needed to begin renovations quickly and they saw no point in keeping the show running after it was filmed. |

I've always wanted to be the only person in a cinema. Tonight could be my chance... I have been, a few times. I found it a bit boring because being the only one there stifled the atmosphere. It's surprising how much difference just a few other people make. |

I am sometimes when I take the kids to the first showing of the day. I love it- I can read my kindle in peace on my phone during the film. If there was anyone else in the cinema I wouldn’t do it! |

I went to see the new Adams Family film on my own and was the only one there. It was weird being the only one, but I enjoyed the experience. Just didn't particularly enjoy the film.

Now this has finished in London, any plans for it touring the uk ? Yes, at the earliest will be late 2020. The cast have been told there will be a tour of the UK but no word on dates, venues, timescales or anything so it's kinda ambiguous at the moment. Although, if the producers needed any confirmation of the shows popularity, they got it on Saturday night. Anyone have any information on this? With COVID, they would have to postpone to late 2021 but there seems to be no more chatter about a UK tour revival. |

I saw Mamma Mia: Here We Go Again on my own (Sunday morning screening) - the only time I have ever sung (and will ever sing) along out loud in a cinema! I had my first visit back to the cinema yesterday afternoon, and was the only one there. At least I didn't have to worry about social distancing, and I was also singing along (to Back to the Future!). |

My local theatre showed the film for ‘one night only’ last week - not afraid to say that I teared up at the end of the brilliant opening number as the recording included the roar of the audience so it made you feel - for a brief second - as if you were there. It was wonderful to see Clare and that awesome cast again - and of course ‘the staircase moment’.
I wonder if Stephen Mear’s production at the Theatre du Chatelet will go ahead? I’m quite tempted to go though maybe the hassle of ‘travel or not to travel’ will put me off. I do hope it goes ahead for the Production’s sake 🤞
