The in-house Ovation productions at the Gatehouse are fantastic. Top Hat is probably the closest to 42nd Street they've done before. Joanne Clifton led the cast for that. I wonder if they'll ask her back for this! Ooh there's an idea - she was pretty good in Top Hat. I wouldn't mind if they just got a really good recent drama school grad though! |

42nd Street is "sort of" back in London before Christmas. Not on sale yet but will be playing at the Upstairs at the Gatehouse Pub Theatre in Highgate from mid December for about a month. Professional production as far as I know. From one of London's largest theatres to one of the smallest (140 capacity), can't wait to see what they do with it ! A sort of "42nd Lane" I'd guess. Thanks, just booked. £25 per ticket, including an interval drink and post show Q&A. Will be interesting to see which version of 42nd Street they're presenting. |

I think it's a joke, he's laughing at it and it was posted by someone else originally. Maybe right, maybe wrong, but I'm going with it not being true. Happy to be proved wrong though but it doesn't feel true to me.

My local cinema has FINALLY started selling tickets  Most of my adult tap class are going. Our dance school is in the same building as the cinema and this is our dance teacher's favourite show as well. |

Bonnie was on the BBC Radio 2 breakfast show this morning talking about the show being broadcast in cinemas.
It was like old times. They also played we're in the money which cheered up my morning at work no end.

Philip appears to be a much more confident tap dancer than Ashley Day based in that clip, I'm looking forward to watching him next week (I never got to see an understudy for that role - I only ever saw Stuart and Ashley).

He was by far my favourite of the five people I saw play Billy so hopefully you enjoy his performance when you watch it next week. I'm really looking forward to seeing it in the cinema, I hardly ever go to the cinema so it'll be a treat and I'm going with my best friend who loved the show too. |

I’m going with the same group that I took to London for an exhausting but fabulous saturday matinee back in September 17. I’d already seen it so was confident in “selling” it to them, but it’s always a worry that you’ve oversold something and they’d spend all that money and not enjoy it. Not the case here, obvs. They all adored it, despite Sheena’s indisposition, and we talk about it to this day.
So we’re recreating it at the cinema, I’ve booked row D just like before. Nice to know I’m not going to get kneecapped this time,!
