I don't remember sitting down and standing back up again. But it's a blur! I heard it didn't happen in the Upper levels, but in the Stalls there were many people who stood again for Clare. Yes, I meant I thought we were all still standing from the first time around!

I think there was a brief moment of sitting, as in butt barely touching the seat, then we were all up again 😂

Does she normally say “wasn’t she terrific”?
That clip was so loving. What a show.

It's official. According to the show report the ovation at the end of the staircase routine lasted 3 minutes.

Still Amazes Me Hamilton won best choreography Over this Because there was nothing new in the choreography. it's the same thing for every production of 42nd Street.

I know some who weren't there may be sick of all the videos, but for those wanting to experience two of the standing ovations from the wings... as soon as Clare Rickard says "wasn't she terrific" everyone was back on their feet and Clare just burst into tears. So amazing! Thank you so much for sharing that. it's Insane! I'm getting chills just watching that so I can't even Imagine what it must have been like in the theatre!! With all these reports and videos I'm regretting my decision so much not to come down for the last day. You're all extremely lucky to have experienced that in person.

The Chatelet production that ran just before this had different choreography. Watching the trailer for that, it seems weird seeing different choreography.

I reckon it was longer than 3 mins, it also took the show time to get going again. The end of that report also says Massive applause - I think messrs Linnit & Grade were truly gob smacked by it. What a night to remember.

Maybe 3 minutes for the first ovation (but it seemed longer), then it took a lot of time to get going again and was very stop/start.
The show ran about 20 minutes longer than usual. Take off 5 minutes for the speech at the end and the rest was the time added with all the extra applause and activity.

Did anyone ever find out what it was that flew off of Clare in the matinee into the audience. I was sat in the middle of the stalls and the title number, in the big dance section before the staircase, something flew off of her, went over the front of the stalls and hit the Royal Circle front before falling into the stalls. It may of been her bracelet but I wasn't sure. Any ideas? I imagine that defiantly wasn't planned.

I get the same chills watching this on screen tonight as I did watching it from the centre of the front row yesterday afternoon!
I could see Bonnie around the back so I knew she was about to appear. And when she did, the place erupted.
Doesn't even matter about people cheering over the tapping at the end. The whole moment was magical, with the whole place on their feet at the end.
And that was only the matinee!

Something fell off Joel (or he pulled it off), which left a string hanging from the back of his Thief costume. I thought he threw it towards the wings, but could it have ended up on the stage and been the same item?
There was another loose item earlier that fell down and Tom Lister ended up picking up and putting up, but I can't quite remember the context now.
Funny thing, just reading the FB West End group, someone asked if the matinee was a muck up, someone else who was there replied and said no! So just shows it was quite subtle to those not in the know!

So wish I could have been there, love the videos.
Hope Clare Halse does very well out of this.
I'm slightly biased as I only saw Bonnie as Dorothy but it feels right that she was here at the end and experienced the last night. A proper musical theatre performer with a history with the show.

The last four days were all two show days which is one hell of a schedule!
They must have been absolutely knackered.
