Anyone going next sat night ? I'm there! C6 Stalls, on the aisle. Fabulous as ever tonight! This cast just are so incredible its unreal! Pretty much full Stalls, all foue levels open and the lower two looked full. Pretty much full stading ovation in Stalls and lively audience throughout, cheering through most of the Finale number! Chatted to Claire Rickard and Sam Murphy after, tonight was the final performance of some of the Swings. Also, Lulu is apparently great from rehearsals, a completely different take from Sheena and Ashley is apparently amazing as usual!

Everything crossed! Anyone get Monday nights off? Nope, there is no alternates with this show, not even for Clare or Stuart. And with it being the last week for the Original Cast, I doubt anyone will be off baring illness. Most of the Swings played their last performance Saturday so there is the asumption everyone will be in the show from now until Saturday.

Scrap the idea of the full cast being on all week, Philip Bertioli is on for Pat Denning tonight.

It may, or may not, be anything, but when ALW was on The One Show last night, plugging his book, he said that the refurbishment of Drury Lane would start in a year - not after Christmas, or next summer, but in a year.

So I imagine they will see out the new cast and close between January and March 2018. To be truthful, Clare is close to impossible to replace, one of a kind, so the duo of her and Ashley will be a nice pairing to end on. Although it should be noted that if the show still continues to sell how it does at the moment, there is the possibility it could extend, you never know. Andrew could well change his mind. I guess time will tell.

Could they move theatres? Mamma Mia has now been shown in three theatres, without a break in its run. If the ticket sales are as strong as you say, will they close a show before looking at retaining the show in another venue?

It would be great at the Palladium I think. And with pantomime ending in January, it being a RUG theatre and them already performing there a couple of times, it would be a good fit. But I would imagine it will complete its run at the Drury Lane and then tour maybe. But I wouldn't be surprised to see it extend if it continues good buisness!

I have said my goodbyes to all those leaving and strangely it was quite emotional. Had a lovely chat back stage to Sheena, she has really grown on me and I will miss her. Apparently Lulu is bringing a whole different slant on the role.

Scrap the idea of the full cast being on all week, Philip Bertioli is on for Pat Denning tonight. Unfortunately Norman B has a Chest Infection and Emma Caffrey is off as well. Both hope to be well enough on Saturday.

Almost a complete cast tonight (Friday), but Emma Caffrey is still away, so Kirsty Fuller is on as Annie.
Never seen the foyer so busy and am expecting a packed house.

And the interval update.
Sounds like quite a few of the cast are fighting through a cold. Stuart Neal in particular was getting faint in Keep Young and Beautiful. Hopefully his voice holds out for Act 2.
Quite a few line changes I’m sure about and some actions that looked different to usual, so I presume it’s the Muck Up Friday. Don’t ask me to list them all though, my memory’s not perfect for that...
More audience chatterers than usual and a phone that keeps lighting up, but it’s bearable levels. The show is as good as usual.

And Stuart’s voice held (and, of course, he doesn’t sing as much in part 2).
Fantastic reactions, I’ve never seen an audience clap when the stairs appear (or at several other times in the show). A Standing Ovation from all four levels.
Just a shame I can’t get tomorrow and I hope the predicted snow doesn’t mess up the plans for anyone else.

Woo, that was stressful but managed to get row C stalls on Today Tix rush - can't wait! So sad to see Stuart go, but so happy Clare is staying.
