As far as the Christmas schedule is concerned, they usually have each cast member swing out when they do that many shows in row. So I doubt the full cast will be performing every performance in that period....

Its a smart move, and gives the Swings and Understudies a chance to shine which is always lovely. I imagine CJ Johnson will probably get a couple of shows on too covering Sheena if she wants to go back to America for family or whatever. Sheena has done fabulously in this run, constantly growing in the part and only taking days off for holiday bar a couple of days at the start due to illness. If she decides to extend, I'm good with that.

As they say up north, Stuart is going to be sweating like a cob! doing 2 shows a day for 4 days. I'm exhausted just watching the dancers. Don't know how they do it.

I'm not crazy, they are going to be exhuasted, even one show is exhuasting enough. Yes its their job, and they love doing it, but its not to take away from the fact that for the Ensemble, three supporting girls, Sutart and Clare, these are hugely demanding roles physically. Poor Clare when she finishes that title number looks like she could pass out dancing one more step.

I don't know about the other cast members, but Clare told me its quite a big cast change, with a few shuffles around with cast members as well as people leaving, so I don't doubt we will see some ensemble members bumped up into the minor roles and supporting roles.

Norman Bowman is leaving at cast change.
Some cast members are still in negotiations regarding the next contract so it might be a while until we get official info about who is staying or leaving.

That's a shame. Was hoping he might stay on as Julian. I've seen him three times and thought he was fantastic! When is cast change by the way? I really want to be there!

I really enjoy Tom Lister as Julian and he sings the part well. It would however be nice to see Mr Bowman play the part as Pat is such a rubbish part for him. I was honestly confused as to why Normal Bowman was playing him!

The show will be performing soon on the royal variety show. On now on ITV.
Miranda currently doing a 'hilarious' comedy routine.

Alot of cast members seem to of saved their holiday dates up for last week and this week... just saw on West End Covers twitter that tonight Graeme is on for Julian, CJ is on for Dorothy, Philip is on for Billy, Sam is on for Pat and Kristen is on for Phyllis. It appears if you want to see any understudies, this is the time to do it!

Saw this last night. Gosh it’s still 100 percent and on top form. CJ was on for Dorothy and Graeme for Marsh, everyone else was on. My friends who I took for Xmas (was my 4th time) adored it and cried and tapped out of the theatre at the end. It’s still on fire!
Two things I noticed, yes they do have microphones down the legs so the tap is definately not click tracked and also since the Harvey Weinstein sexual misconduct scandal it really did make me see the show in a different light when it comes to Marsh and Sawyer’s working relationship!

I said similar up the thread, before HW though. It made me feel uncomfortable in places, especially in the lullaby of Broadway, where he seems overbearing towards her, and stands over her while she's sitting holding down her shoulders.

Would anyone like a free ticket to tonight's show? I'm sick so can't go. Solo seat in Grand Circle, free to a good home. DM me.

I've always wondered this. Because I have seen that so many are off today for both shows (CJ on for Dorothy, Graeme on for Julian, Philip on for Billy, Sam on for Pat, Lisa on for Phyllis and Katherine on for Lorraine), this lead me to thinking... obviously this isn't as dramatic as it could be, and some will be on holiday, some will just be ill. But what happens in the event that they more than the required amount start to get ill in any show, swings included? Is it a case of just cutting out pairs for certain numbers in the ensemble so that they can continue with just less, or is it a case of ringing up the ill ones and being like "look boo, I realise you're going through it at the moment, but could you possibly just down a bottle of Night Nurse and sleepwalk your way through this bitch?". I've always wondered, with any show haha.

As long as all the important roles are covered I'd think they'd just carry on with a reduced ensemble. I remember seeing a performance of Cats with a cast of 19 (IIRC) instead of 26, and a performance of Six Brides for Seven Brothers (with the company manager coming on as a seventh bride to make up the numbers but disappearing for the dances because she didn't know the steps).

I've always wondered, with any show haha. What they end up doing is split tracks, cutting bit here and bits there, etc. It is more difficult in a dance show with partnering, but they wouldn't cancel a show this far into a run. If the swings and u/s didn't know the show yet (if this was previews) then they'd cancel, as they did during previews of Dreamgirls when both Adam and Joe were both out and Tosh hadn't learned the role yet.
