Finally offering significantly discounted tickets at TKTS. I might have to make a 4th visit. Looks like they're dropping them on the day based on demand as tomorrows still show full price at TKTS

I saw this a couple of weeks ago on a Wednesday. Cannot speak for the balcony, dress was almost full. I had the full cast in their roles.
Really enjoyed the show, but for some reason, just didn't love it as much as everyone else on here. It's brilliant, but just didn't give me that feeling. As a tapper myself, I'd been waiting for something like this for a while.
I didn't mind the weak book, it's nothing that you don't get in a lot of musicals. Although I didn't buy the Peggy and Julian storyline at all, and it kind of creeped me out, he seems overbearing in the lullaby of Broadway, it's strange, he sings it in almost a sinister way and she's sitting there meekly (just my take on it).
One little mistake was they turned Sheena's mic off during her song.
I love the theatre though, I've never been there and loved the saloon. It's very airy and it was a lovely day, everything looked beautiful. No trying to snatch a seat before you go in, there's a lot of tables and chairs. Also audience were impeccable. Not one person moved from their seats in either half, no steward had to run over to someone on their phone. It was so refreshing after a truly awful experience at dreamgirls. The audience was very much older though, at thirty I was the youngest there by a long way. But it was so welcome to have an audience like this one.
I may go back, but I'm not itching to,which puts me in the minority.

I'm going to see this again on Tuesday. Not from the front row as i did for my first outing but from row P in the stalls. The show will be just as exciting for sure but the view not as good.

Managed to bag Royal Circle row F seat 4 for this evening on TodayTix Rush at 3:40pm. Surprised as I expected all to go at 10am.
So that's where I'm heading now.

Saw this again last night - absolutely fabulous and a very appreciative audience particularly for the big numbers - wish I'd had half their energy when I was their age. Must book again

They were fabulous at West End Live yesterday, lots of people around me were very impressed! Wish they'd dressed up though, the costumes for this are wonderful and the black 42nd Street T-shirts didn't quite give the same impression!

They can't let the solid gold tap shoes and real mink out of the theatre without a full security detail.

My 2nd visit last night and as good as the first. Sat further back in the stalls which gives a different view but still can't beat those front row seats. Whole cast as brilliant as ever. The staircase tap number is one of the most spectacular sights ever on stage. They really should supply tickets to this show on the NHS to treat depression. Even though it was pouring down with rain I came away so happy. I would watch this musical every week if I could afford it. The ensemble must be the hardest working cast in the west end. Please can we now have a cast recording.

I caught this show (for the 3rd time) on Monday evening, thanks to a £25 rush ticket on Today Tix! Row A centre! I concur with what alece10 has said above. It is just such an astonishing spectacle.
C J Johnson (?) was on for Sheena Easton and was fabulous. Too good for the role really - great acting and comedy chops although not quite the voice of Easton. Clare Halse was astonishing again.
Gallery closed but otherwise very busy I would have said.
It is warm in Drury Lane though - I don't think they can put air con in due to the listed status of the building - the cast were sweating!

Rumours floated on here a while ago about a refurbishment of Drury Lane - well it's happening, and at £35m it's set to be a big one.
Planning application to go in in September, so I'd expect the theatre to close at some point next year.

If the planning application is only going in in September then they might not get it granted until Feb/March, so I'd guess closure will be later in the year.

Drury Lane has always been a **** of a venue in summer. I remember seeing My Fair Lady during a heatwave in 2003 and they were giving out branded My Fair Lady hand fans in the upper circle (it was stifling)

Don't get everyone started on the use of fans in the theatre!!! As long as they keep their fanning on their own bodies and don't freeze out my cockles it's fine by me!

I hope the show does make back its investment as a minimum. It's a quality production and their ambition should be rewarded.

Otherwise it will be the last we see of shows mounted on this scale ever again. Back to the musicals with the 5 piece band and 8 in the ensemble (with 2 costumes each) desperately trying to fill a huge stage.

There are always rumours about refurbishments....The Palace Theater in NYC was support to be refurished after Sunset Blvd but they just announced that SpongeBob will be going in there. SO it ain't over until Carlotta sings!
