Very promising! After such disastrous productions of this show in the past, I was feeling slightly apprehensive but am now excited.

I was also at today's matinee and for me Mimi was the stand out, I thought she was brilliant.

Lovely to hear Layton. He effortlessly and charmingly makes Graham Norton seem a very old man!
Channel Five television (just press the dusty button never touched by human hand) has a feature-length documentary coming up:
The Graham Norton Story
Tue 20 Dec 9.00pm
Rtd Thu 22 Dec 11.05pm

Do you think this could maybe extend for a bit?

Do you think this could maybe extend for a bit? Sadly not, it's back on the road only three days after the closing night in London on 28th January, opening in Eastbourne on Tuesday 31st.

For those in London worried about missing out, there are huge numbers of seats still available for the visit to Bromley in February

Perhaps they may bring it back to London after the tour ends?

That is crazy to think they are selling the very row I was in at that price (shows high demand). I loved being up close and personal but you can't take in the whole stage at once and you hear mainly the vocals of who is in front of you and they are in touching distance throughout.

I looked when I read the initial very positive reactions and that date was the only one with availability. Had about 20 seats when I looked, all singles or pairs at row ends from front to back of theatre. All at £75! But thanks to Honoured Guest I've booked myself a very lovely seat for less than half that when it comes to the Belgrade in May

No... £75 each. Too crazy for me! Ain't that shocking! It's rather ironic isn't it, that in order to be able to see 'Rent' you have to pay prices which mean you might not have the money to pay your actual rent that month.

Yeah they were price at £75 each - someone snapped them up rather quickly. Much as I enjoyed Rent when I saw the OLC I wasn't prepared to fork out £75 for the front row at the side. I just wanted to let people who were really desperate to see it know that I had seen two tickets back on sale.

Hello dynamic pricing! The seat I paid £20 in previews is £75. Cheapest now £37.50. For most shows I get it, but this is against the message of RENT.
Hey artist... got a dollar?

The start of this afternoon's matinee has been delayed due to technical difficulties. The performance was due to start at 230 but they've just announced that the auditorium won't be open until at least 315.

This afternoon's performance, delayed 90 minutes due to technical difficulties (sound issues apparently), has now been cancelled 20 minutes in due to an injury to one of the cast. Didn't see anything happen on stage but the company stage manager came on at the end of a song and said the show couldn't continue and he needed to get the cast member to hospital. Hope whoever is involved is okay.

Only the £75 and £99 tickets availible for the two added matinees. Clearly there is still a huge audiencd for Rent in London! I could see this coming back to London for a run once the tour finishes, in one of the smaller theatres like Charring Cross or Playhouse.
