I didn't see Cinderella and definitely recognised some of his material!
I do like the regular cast but think they could get away with just keeping Julian, Gary and Nigel. Nigel as a running joke of course, maybe a demotion next year (nothing against him, he plays downtrodden well).

I was there this afternoon and have to say I loved it. To me it was by far the most spectacular of the recent Palladium pantos, absolutely stunning - you can see where the money has gone. That said, it's not so much a panto as a variety show, and it worked for me.
I had been getting tired of Julian's samey innuendos and Paul's repeated act, but this year's offerings seemed fresher and that bit different (or at least not as recent!). For me, though, Gary Wilmott was the star of the show. The musical theatre song was absolutely brilliant - and Matt Baker nailed the tightrope walk first time!
