I’m sure it will - the rush tickets for tonight went in a millisecond earlier on this morning!

The joys of solo theatre-going… Just picked up a great front stalls seat for tomorrow’s matinee for £45 - it was £125 this morning!
I saw it in previews back in April 2018 but not been back since, although I’ve wanted to. Following Tina’s death, now feels like the right moment.

So glad I went! This afternoon’s matinee was fantastic - the cast all appeared at the start as per earlier in the week and Joshua Da Costa (playing Ike) read a brief statement, then asked for a minute’s silence - no bad behaviour here, you could’ve heard a pin drop.
Then the show began. Several moments choked me, particularly the point where Erwin tells her he’s staying - after everything we’d seen Tina go through in Act 1 it was moving to see her get her happy ending with a decent man. And then at the end - Kristina Love (Tina) talked about her first meeting with Tina, in Zurich when she was cast to play her. A beautiful speech and by this point I’d noticed a few others crying too.
Lovely too to see the flowers outside the theatre under Tina’s picture, and the production’s statement about Tina’s death on one of the screens outside. I’ll never forget the Tina concert I saw at Wembley and of course this show doesn’t replicate that experience, but her life story absolutely should be told and this is a fitting tribute to her resilience and talent.

Does anybody know how you get front row seats for this?

Does anybody know how you get front row seats for this? The stage is very high. I’m 6’3 and it was just about bearable but I wouldn’t recommend it for shorter people unless there are specific reasons for being there.

Does anybody know how you get front row seats for this? I believe they’re usually offered via the TodayTix rush. The original front row’s been taken out so the neck-ache isn’t quite as bad as it once was. The £25 price tag and the close up experience balance out the high stage for me. Appreciate it’s a matter of preference though!

I got front row from the rush on Thursday. I did not believe the stage to be particularly high, and there is a huge gap between the front row and the stage. I’m 6ft 1 and was eye level with the stage so could see everything, but if you’re shorter you’ll obviously have a different experience.

It’s a while since I’ve been, but my recollection is that the view is excellent from the front row (I’m 5’8”).

Saw this yesterday for the matinee for my 4th time with my 3rd Tina! Vanessa Dumatey was Tina yesterday afternoon and I have seen her before as Alline Bullock (Tina's sister) she was good and can't complain for £25 front row tickets from TodayTix. We had quite a few alternatives on: i.postimg.cc/jqk4g6yz/20231116-141219.jpgThe front row has been where I have sat all times and really feels immersed into the final sing-along at the end, in fact my friend and I were "rolling" along with Earl Gregory (he played Ike Turner yesterday afternoon) as he was in front of us at the curtain call! I like how the songs fit into the show as they do not feel forced and make sense with the story. The show is still awesome to see and reminds you of all the fab tunes Tina sang and is now a great Tribute to the Queen of Rock 'n' Roll!

Saw this on Tuesday evening (6 Feb). Managed to get front row seat from TodayTix. The view was really great - you do have to look up a bit but I didn't feel that I was straining my neck.
This was my second time watching the show and I enjoyed it a lot more because the seat was just better. My first time I was sat near the back of the stalls and felt like I couldn't fully enjoy the performance.
Elesha Paul Moses was on as Tina and I have to say she did a pretty good job. Some songs suited her better than others. Towards the later half, I noticed some vocal fatigue and she struggled to hit the higher notes that Tina would typically sing in that "rough" chest voice. Overall, she had a commendable performance and I truly appreciate its a tough role given the dancing involved as well.
The girl who appeared as young Tina was a delight. Other highlights for me were performances by Okezie Morro (Ike), Irene Forrester (the grandma) and Harry Harrington (Roger Davies).
There were some technical issues on the night however. First, before the end of the first half of the show though they had to stop for about 10 minutes. I overheard one lady (who said that she had seen the show like over 70(!) times previously) say that apparently it had to do with some part of the set not coming on stage. Then later on, at the end during the encore sing along section, Tina's mike started acting up (sound was going on and off) but she swiftly exchanged mikes with one of the backup singers.

The press release says the west end production will run alongside it They often say that but end up closing either before the tour or not long after. Does it sell well with on-the-day sales? Looking at the early/mid-week performances for the next few weeks I don't know how it's staying open!

I guess the Aldwych will be free again soon then…

Tina does have an unusually long booking period which makes me think it's probably on its last legs. Not sure what could go to the Aldwych though.

Have the prices dropped accordingly? Not even in the slightest. Tomorrow evening (which is busy but nowhere near sold out) has tickets ranging from £225 - £45. Having £45 as your lowest price point when it’s not selling is crazy. Of course I don’t know about any offers/day tickets etc.

Tina has been struggling to shift tickets for years now, bar a few spikes in interest. It's long been the show I had pinned to close next, and yet it continues to limp on despite the obviously poor sales. I won't believe it's closing until the moment the Aldwych confirms it!

Having £45 as your lowest price point when it’s not selling is crazy. Of course I don’t know about any offers/day tickets etc. Tina is one of the few long-running shows that continues to offer Today Tix Rush tickets at the original price (AFAIK) of £25. They seem to shift a lot and they can remain available into the afternoon. The very front row is sold exclusively that way. I got a Rush seat there last month and it was evident that a lot of the (mostly young ladies) in that row knew each other, so are presumably regular attenders. It's also available on TKTS. As I type this, pairs of seats in stalls row F are available for tonight @ £63, on the venue website they cost up to £225 each. TKTS day and discounted tickets go on sale online at midnight for that day. Then there's dynamic pricing though that's mainly on single seats. Official website right now seats F6 and F7 cost £225, F10 - which is more central - is available for £50. On the February Wednesday I last attended the stalls and dress circle looked about 80% full, two days earlier that was more like 40%. So all the various marketing initiatives seem to be working.

I wouldn't be surprised if Nederlander are keeping it going until someone wants the Aldwych.

It´s a relatively cheap show to run, and the tickets aren´t precisely cheap. I don´t think this´ll close as soon as some people think it will. I hope it doesn´t!

I need another reason to go see the show. Adrienne Warren was vocally fantastic when I first saw it. Previous visits haven't quite lived up to her.
