The website says that the current cast are contracted until the 16th of March so we can assume we have Adrienne until then. I'm looking for some tickets for March but the pricing for this show is appalling!

Unless she has three understudies, as well as her alternate, then as of tonight, all of the women who play/alternate/understudy the role of Tina have been on!

Adrienne was on holiday when I saw it. So pissed off I never got to see her performance. The understudy was serviceable.

Believe that was her debut week. I saw the Thursday matinee, believe the Monday evening was her debut, believe Jenny was on holiday so Aisha filled in her shows

Possibly looking into this. Making sure that the schedule is still Monday evening and Thursday matinees for the alternate? Does Adrienne have any scheduled performances off that are announced in the near future?

If Adrienne isn’t on then Jenny will go on as she is alternate but if Jenny is indisposed then Aisha is first cover so will go on. Tsemaye is 2nd cover and she made her debut a few weeks ago. When Adrienne has her holiday dates and Jenny plays Tina full time, Aisha has played the role on Monday and Thursday

The prices are standard West End now, unjustifiable certainly but a fault of supply and demand market forces, not the show itself as such. Plus they do a lottery and there are relatively cheap seats in the Grand Circle. If you want the best seats then you have to pay for them anywhere unless the show has a particularly good day seats policy, which this does not. I've splashed out for 16th March, my payday treat...

For the show with Adrienne in it, they are a fair West End price as she's terrific value but for the show without her, the tickets aren't worth £6 let alone £60. It's a pretty rotten show, Adrienne makes it seem better than it is.

Just get a group of ten people together and you’ll then get group rate for most shows and save 30/40 pounds - that’s what I do

Few of the ensemble posted some pics yesterday of them all recording, and one of them captioned it 'Cast Recording Time'
Looks like we're getting a cast recording!

Personally I think it's an ok show, not as dreadful as you thought it was (and certainly better than some of the dross that also charges top price in the West End), but agree that Adrienne alone is more than worth the ticket price.

She went on for the first time way back in May when I was working at the Aldwych. I'm pretty sure it wasn't a planned performance as she was hugely under-rehearsed and messed up a few lyrics in songs and other actors needed to cover the missing lines in some of the dialogue between songs. She was pleasant enough but having seen all of the Tinas so far, none of them come close to Adrienne in my opinion. She is something special, and staff had to give the line 'the role of Tina is shared between three actresses' when the speaking with complaining customers at performances given by anyone other than her. I thought the show was great, it far exceeded the expectations I had of it before I began working there, and it gets a great reception no matter who is on. I did think Aisha was great as Alline and an Ikette and sure she would be good as Tina with proper preparation.

I usually consider my opinion and fact to be one and the same thing really. It tends to be easier for everyone that way.

Saw this tonight and I'm not a big fan. I thought I had bought tickets for when Adrienne was on but it was Jenny. I like the children playing young Anna Mae and that's about it for first act.
2nd act and Jenny seemed to get a bit better but, my god, the story is terrible on this and some of the songs just seem to be put in whether it fits in or not.
I was in AY 12, and only one around that was not standing up and clapping with music. I was clapping with it, smiling, just not standing up. Did not appreciate her, while singing, kneeling in front of me, looking me in the eye with her arms spread out as if trying to get me to stand up. My knees hurt witch.

I’d love to see this- but mainly for Adrienne- does anybody know what days she is off? I’d prefer not to book & then find out she doesn’t work that performance!

Monday evening and Thursday matinee are her scheduled shows off each week but then she probably also has scheduled holiday that we're unaware of.

How can you get cheap tickets to this now they've stopped doing the lottery?
