Yes right in the middle, I think it was only used two or three times though Im assuming… ‘Meet the Plastics’.. start of revenge party when the couch comes up… bed for More is always Better? No , only for the bathroom scene and the house party in act 2

Saw this tonight, firstly I’m a big fan of the show and have been waiting for YEARS to see it live. I thought it was brilliant, all the changes have worked so well.
I loved the use of video screens for the set, but I did feel like the ensembles wigs and costumes looked quite cheap.
This show has been cast absolutely perfectly to the T. Charlie plays both sides of Cady so perfectly and is such a great leading woman. Georgina has possibly the biggest vocals in the show and makes it look effortless. Elena grows more into Janis as the show goes on but Id Rather Be Me is always gonna be a highlight for me, and she smashed it, her and Tom are great together. Grace is just so so good as Karen, it’s such a hard character to get right and she absolutely gets it. Daniel has the challenge with Aaron as he’s not in it much and doesn’t do a lot, but he definitely made him relevant for me. Zoe plays the 3 woman roles so well and Is very funny. Elena as Gretchen is brilliant, she was a favourite of mine, but it’s Tom as Damien who absolutely steals the show, what a star!
the audience definitely loved it, but I’m not sure if this was just because I was third row and couldn’t hear, but some jokes didn’t get the laughs I thought they would, and some sounded like they didn’t at all. Some of it will be down to comic timing and them playing the roles more to get used to it.
I’m just so glad the show is finally here, and I’m crossing my fingers that it opens well, but I think it may do.

Saw this tonight. Loved all of Tina Fey's updated book for Gen Z and cynical Brits (knew we'd be in safe hands from the Pret a Manger line in French class). The video wall could've been a cop out but was done so well that it really added to the glitz and glamour of the evening. All the leads impressed. I was a LONG way back but from the screaming at her appearance in the stalls I wondered if Amy Poehler was making a cameo as Mrs George tonight. Didn't see her at the curtain call though but it would be a great way of generating a bit of press if they need a ticket sales boost.
Biggest thumbs down - it was boiling in the gods. No air con at all. If this is what it's like with a jumbotron screen and 1000 over excited audience members on a chilly London day I'm glad I'm not there during a heatwave...

What's the description in the Burn Book they have for Janis this time? I think it's something like "pyro lesbian", there's a story about her setting Regina's backpack on fire.

During It Roars does it include the parts of her dancing with the Maasai and climbing Kilimanjaro?

There are some people in this who are very good.
And then there some people who are the most miscast I've ever seen in a show.
Very very uneven show too - strong act 1 and then it's like they forgot to direct act 2.
3 stars.

Honestly I shouldn't 😂
I thought Tom was great as Damien, and Zoe Rainey is comedy gold as the adult women - adore having her back on stage.
The second half of this show is just terribly written and if you don't knock the two big back to back numbers out of the park is unbelievably boring - and they didn't knock either of them out of the park 👀

Also we seemingly have a weird megamix at the end now? I hope that gets cut.

I’m not seeing this for a few weeks but now I’m very excited for miscast actors playing teenagers lol.
Having seen it on Broadway, this musical is far from perfect. It has a completely lackluster score but what saves it for me (besides my love for the original film) is that I think Tina Fey did a masterful job at adapting her film script to the stage and making any and all changes necessary for it to work. I was actually really angry when she lost the Tony that year.

Interestingly I think it's the adaptation that's the worst part of this - Tina Fey managed to remove almost all of the humour that made the film good - the book just isn't funny enough,

Even watching the film version of the musical, i had the exact same reaction that I did to seeing the musical.

There was no megamix at the first preview (unless I’ve completely blocked that out). What songs are in it?

Damien is fantastic, he’s counterpart as Janis however, she can sing, but where is the character? I thought the Cady and Gretchen were god also. Some of the changes were great, but I think the top of act 2 is off.
