The teaser below was included in an email I was sent today by Friends Fest, seemingly confirming a London transfer will be announced soon. Mark 3rd April in your calendars! imgur.com/pnborat

Half-way to Mean Girls day! I can see this being a big stonking hit in London. Of all the shows I saw in New York last week - this had the busiest rush queue by far, and the audience reaction to it was incredible.
Baz initially hinted Autumn 2020 but hopefully this means that has come forward. With 9 to 5 being a limited run and Waitress seemingly not settling down for the long run either, there will definitely be a gap in the market for this.
I was pondering potential casting, the Broadway cast are so strong I can see them maybe bringing a few over. Not to forget this tweet from Erika.

It’s also a Wednesday!

Savoy, Adelphi or Piccadilly I bet.

Piccadilly or Savoy is probably more likely since they’re ATG theatres. The Adelphi is probably a tad too big for Mean Girls.

Okay what has it got to do with FreindsFest? And they only way they can "hit your inbox" is if you've signed up to it and there has been no MG sign up yet? Why is this ad not appearing anywhere else either?
Very strange.

I thought this was good not great when I saw it on broadway but can see it doing well here as I think there’s a gap for it in the West End. Not sure Mean Girls has the following here that it does in the US but I’m sure it will be heavily marketed. Money on opening night being 3 Oct, mean girls day!!

I don't. *hides* Me neither, but then I'm probably not a millennial. 😔 I was really suprised when I listened to the Broadway cast recording for this. I'm not sure what I expected, but I loved it. I never got the chance to see it NYC last year, so hoping it does come to London sooner rather than later.

I think this will go to the Piccadilly or the Savoy which is the perfect theatre for it. it will open for previews 2nd October on a Wednesday with an opening night for sometime in November. And they will do a ticket deal for anyone who wears pink on a Wednesday just like they do on broadway. And £20 day seats. If they open around this time my matinee is sorted for my 2 show day in November . This show is so fetch I love it 😊 my mum loved it aswell ☺️ when we saw it on Broadway.

I do think they should do an "on Wednesdays we wear pink" deal where anyone who wears pink in the dayseat line on a Wednesday gets a free Regina George Cocktail or something.

Haha, you got all that from the Friends Fest ad? I hope I'm wrong, but I'm not convinced the announcement is anything to do with a London transfer of the musical. I don't see the connection with Friends Fest, and why they would be the ones to announce it.
