Tried to get a ticket in Sheffield this week and was sold out so those reviews seemed to have worked. Also notice they have 5 weeks off at Christmas and have heard speculation they’re going into Windhams theatre in place of Man in white suit. Anyone confirm this? xxx

Anyone confirm this? xxx Well I went this afternoon and there were plenty of empty seats. In fact the balcony was closed and the 20 or so people who had booked seats up there were moved into the circle where we were and we moved to the next row in the middle which was virtually empty. I have to say I thought it was overlong, starting at 2pm and finishing at 4.50pm and I got a bit bored. The ensemble are fantastic, both singing and dancing and some great individual voices but they seemed to unnecessarily repeat parts of the story.

There are some decent Price Promise tickets for £13 in Birmingham next week, including rear Stalls seats on both the Saturday matinee and evening performances. Available through the usual ATG booking site.

It's supposed to be playing Wimbledon w/c 14 January 2020! (And Dartford the last week in November, which is already discounting on Travelzoo.)

I dread to think how this will do in the West End if it hasn't being doing great on tour.

Just think of it as the London tour stop, there’s certainly people about who try and see all the new musicals and with it doing just four weeks in a small venue, it should do ok at least.
This must be the biggest show cast wise the Wyndhams has ever had mind! It’s not typically host to large musicals

Odd then that Wimbledon isn't listed on the tour site itself; in fact no dates after the last (Dartford) of 2019.

Now I don't have to bother trying to get over to Dartford or Wimbledon to go see this! Great news, hopefully this nice short run will do it some good!

Had to move &Juliet around to be able to book this as they don't play on Mon/Tue 16th/17th December. Always wanted to see this show and even if it is only a tour, very happy to catch it.

Definitely going to go and see this a couple of times while it's in the Wyndhams. What makes it even more appealing is that it looks like Aron Fox is being played by Andy Coxon for the duration of its run there. Unfortunately ticket prices look hideous so I will wait, I am sure I will find something cheaper nearer the time.

itll be on todaytix for £15 before you know it Wouldn't surprise me, patience is always useful in these situations, in my case forced patience anyway as I don't know if I'll be working then or not as to if I have any time to go to the theatre or not anyway.

I dread to think how this will do in the West End if it hasn't being doing great on tour. It's a very short run, and an excellent cast, so I think it will do OK.

That's convenient. I had booked for this at Wimbledon but could really do with that slot to see another tour elsewhere so I can ditch Curtains at Wimbledon & see it at Wyndham's instead. Though I'm another one that'll be waiting on ticket offers. Not paying £75 for a show that I only want to see because Alan Burkitt is in the cast.

Just back from opening night in Birmingham’s Alexandra Theatre so caught Andy Coxon’s debut - wow! To my eyes and ears not a bum note, a fluffed line or a missed cue/spot - what a pro, can’t believe it was his first show.
I thought it was really fun.. Samuel Holmes stole every scene he was in and there is a wonderful hard working Ensemble. Alan Burkett and Emma Caffrey share a delightful dance duet. It’s also a real treat to have the orchestra pit open at this theatre with a live band for a touring show - a real rarity in my experience. I loved the music!
A slight technical hitch midway through Act 2 stopped the show for a few minutes so we were out at 22.30.
