Tried to be there but for a Japanese girl at front of returns queue who bought up any returns by cash - first time I saw a delfont mackintosh member of staff was to tell me - ‘no returns’ I am very sorry to hear you didn't get in(T_T).

Did anyone make it out alive?

Earl Carpenter am£ John Owen Jones tonight with a Stephen Matthews Thenardier and Rosanna Bates as Fantine - what a gorgeous evening 😀 I was there!! The least "all-star" (as advertised) cast but personally my best experience of the concert so far. People applauded the performers for their performance and not for their celebrity, quelle horreur! Don't think I can go back to John/Michael or even Alfie/Earl. John/Earl are truly the dream team. In my personal opinion of course. Craig Mather understudied Marius as well, his Empty Chairs was highly emotional, as well as Earl Carpenter's outstanding suicide scene- voices breaking all round but boy did I feel their inner turmoil! Wonderful, wonderful night. Stage door queue 1/3rd of usual crowd thanks to the absence of "stars". No shouty lady. Fantastic performance I won't forget anytime soon.

From Twitter it seems Carrie is back. Quite good chances Earl might stay to finish up the week- of course we're all guessing here. You could always take a gamble then put your ticket up for returns before the show starts, if it's not the cast you were hoping to see... that's what I've been doing, lol

It was a wonderful evening where the show was the winner rather than the ‘stars’ tho Mr Carpenter’s ‘Stars’ was the finest I’ve ever heard including the other times I’ve seen him as Javert. The blend of his and John Owen Jones’ voices is quite extraordinary

It doesn’t mean anything and I’m not claiming it does, but Carrie was upset that she wouldn’t be able to go to the McFly gig at the O2 on Weds when it was announced. We were sat a couple of rows behind the vip bit and saw the odd Vamp, Matt & Emma Willis and the support act’s families (Chapter 13 made up of ‘School of Rock’ ex-lads) but no Carrie. Given that a good % of the West End are on their arses at the moment, I’m sure she was poorly. She’s done well to last this long.

Bit worried about Michael now as his attendance is usually perfect. Hoping he's taking extra days off to fully recover for the livestream, and not actually so seriously ill he he's gone almost a week off.
Earl standing in for the film would be my dream come true, but would probably get Cammack and the Gielgud staff even more flack than there is already about all these absences.

Both Alfie and Michael are off again - so another #notBallnotBoe show tonight - do hope the audience is as respectful tonight as they were last night and that the hecklers aren’t in

Or not a chance, she was just hiding in a box somewhere?

I’m at the matinee tomorrow and am excited at the chance of Earl Carpenter (and would of course love to se JOJ again). My friend will be upset but not to shouty levels.
When and how is the news usually out, if I can find out over lunch somehow I can manage expectations better than looking at the cart board on entry.

Verbally abusing actors is obviously never okay, but I hope all these accidents will at least push West End producers to adopt the Broadway policy of refunding customers that want their money back if the "above the title" stars are out.

Their four names being out on the same day is very unfortunate, and I’m sure the company manager was bricking it.

I don't get why people insist of @ performers so they can see it their complaint.
