I will wait for casting first as it is expensive but I actually think Barbra Windsor and olly murs would be ideal casting.
I'd rather see people who will be good at panto

Would be good to know at least some of the cast before booking. The different rumours create completely different tones for what the show would be like. Time of course by that it will be sold out. Annoying.

That's a great line up if true. Guessing it will be lilly savage as wicked stepmother instead of the more traditional baron hardup role

Just looked at the ticket prices. I know they are pretty standard West End prices nowadays but still...YIKES! I remember about 10 years ago you could the best seats for the Birmingham pantos didn't even reach £30! (Which of course have gradually crept up since to £47 for Dick Whittington this year!).
But still, the West End is the West End and I'm sure Qdos will deliver something good. And if it is the cast as mentioned above, then Julian Clary and Paul Zerdin definitely will! I can't speak for Lee Mead as I haven't seen him in panto before, and I only saw Paul O'Grady as the Childcatcher in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.

I am probably the only one but I hate panto. Last one I was was at the Old Vic when Sir Ian McKellan played the dame but I only went to see him. Mind you I did win a goldfish when I was a kid at a panto starring Tommy Trinder! and the fish lived for about 15 years. It was called Silver!

I thought I didn't like Panto until I saw a really good one a few years ago. I'll only go this year if there's someone I want to see and cheapish tickets!

Just booked this...my local Qdos panto in Belfast is also Cinderella, but I just thought I'd treat myself to another London trip as an early Christmas present.

Wasn't much into the Spice Girls BUT sat very near Mel C at a "Superstar" recording. Now, if she did panto, I'm there and drooling in the front row ('m assuming that is the "drool" emoji!). Mel C is pretty awesome! She's definitely the best singer of the lot - never got to see the Spice Girls live unfortunately, but I did get to see Mel C do a solo show at the Shepherd's Bush Empire a couple of years ago, and she was great. I’m a big Spice Girls fan – Seen them at all 3 of their tours (SpiceWorld, Spice Girls at Christmas and the Reunion), seen Melanie C solo around 6 times (x2 in ‘Blood Brothers’), Geri in a PA showcase (2013) in Sydney and of course their musical ‘Viva Forever’ but even Melanie B on the bill for the panto can entice me to Wembley. I am just not a fan of panto and set in an arena that just makes zero sense to me (the atmosphere of theatre will be lost, only truly works in an arena for theatre in a concert setting like ‘Les Mis’), I could be persuaded if a Spice Girl was in the Palladium panto but to be honest I just want the rumoured 20th anniversary tour and not Pantos!!

I used to see quite a few pantos each year, and some of the small and independent pantos were fantastic. Unfortunately more and more venues switched over to a kind of panto version of Wetherspoons, where they all had the same script with odd lines changed here and there to localise it and reference whichever two-decades-forgotten TV star they'd managed to get. Eventually I gave up, as there's only so many times you can endure people sitting on a bench steadfastly failing to notice a ghost before you want to convert them to ghosts yourself.

I thought that, same with Paul, but I can't see them listed on the qdos site. And it wouldn't be the first time names are moved around venues.

Just booked for when my Mum's here at Christmas. Trying not to get hopes too high regarding casting.

Guys I'm really stuck!
We usually go to see the Wimbledon pantomime very year and this year it's Dick Whittindon. However, my mum suggested we see Cinderella this year at the Paladium.
I said wait until star casting is announced but the Wimbledon panto don't announce theirs until like October so we can't wait that long.
Do you think the palladium one will be better and have a better cast? It's probably only a one off panto and won't happen again next year??

Definately go for the Palladium. It might me a one off panto there if they get a long running musical in there again and it is going to be a brand new production (sets, costumes etc.) which will subsequently tour regionally for QDOS at Christmas. The casting I am sure will not be a disappointment and will be announced before Wimbeldon I am sure who always announce very late. I have already booked.
