You also can't upgrade to them...new bookings only if you booked through ATG and are willing to wait on hold for an hour to speak to them on the phone, they will upgrade you.

I considered asking to change my tickets but think I'd rather have a view of the entire spectacle for my first visit - if I enjoy it, then maybe I'll try and book a Can Can seat for a future visit

I like the sound of that.... That said, I would be very surprised if it actually gets properly enforced. But I would love to be proven wrong.

Reported by The Stage that masks will be mandatory for audience members. Yep, just had my ticket through and the email clearly states that face coverings are mandatory for everyone over 11. Proof of vaccination/immunity also required.

Proof of vaccination/immunity also required. Does it state that there are still exemptions to wearing a mask? Ive got tickets and I cant wear one!

I’ve heard from someone working on it that they are going to really enforce this, and are having many other producers etc keen to know how it works as they have wanted to do it, but haven’t been brave enough.
Good for them I say. About time someone took a proper stand that is a clear sign that it’s a small price to pay for protecting the industry, and audiences.

Bravo to them for having the balls to do it. I hope they do enforce it. And I hope others follow suit. The cavalier attitude towards mask wearing amongst audiences is absolute insanity.

I presume they will follow suit on the enforcement front for Cabaret as well. The email really is quite strongly worded and makes clear that if you don't produce proof of vaccination you could be denied entry without a refund. All extremely reassuring provided they do proceed to enforce it!

Cabaret have taken it one step further and you have to show proof you have taken a covid test with negative result within 48 hours of seeing the show. I'm going next week and they have sent 2 e mails so far stating thus so seems they mean business.

This is such good news, and kind of what I've been wanting from other theatres. I was shocked at previous ones where pretty much the whole audience were unmasked. This I like to see.

The person I am meant to be going to Cabaret with wants me to consult a solicitor over that as they refusing to take a test.

The email I got when I booked my Cabaret tickets made very clear proof of Covid status was required. That was the phrase used. Taking a test and providing a test result is proving Covid status, so well within what ATG warned you would be needed when you booked. Nothing has changed, all they have done is now explain what precisely is required. If your friend is refusing to do something as simple as take a test that takes two minutes then frankly I don't think they deserve a credit voucher, let alone a refund! Utterly ridiculous to refuse to do something so simple and that benefits themselves and others.

No where else has ever used it only for testing.
