I think some on here think almost as much of Baz and he does himself. In reality he has a very minor column. Considering the size of the mail and mail online readership he really is quite unknown. Its easy to not know who he is, even as a theatre or entertainment fan. Hid media profile away from his twitter feed isn't large. In fact from what I can tell on here many only follow his twitter one Thursday night and don't even read his column.
And his role seems more and more irrelevant as each year goes by. I don't get why he still gets exclusives, a press release and social media post would do exactly the same.

Maybe the marketing departments of these shows think his column still generates valuable sales .. it does seem amazing in this day of social media that he still has some power

Aside from here I've never seen or heard him mentioned by anyone. He may have power for about 12 hours but once the news is on sites like wos and social media that's when it blows up.
In recent years before covid it got to the stage if baz was heavily following a show it was a sign it would flop. I seem to remember bend it like Berkham, the girls, made in Dagenham, Mrs henderson and others were all championed by him and gave him backstage access

I was somewhat curious as to who’s going to be in this, but since I haven’t heard of any of the people linked to it so far, and Baz hasn’t even started yet I’m going to follow robertb213 ‘s lead and just look tomorrow.

Yeah I think I'll head to bed too. Was only mildly curious, and not like there is much difference between now and checking was in the morning

Well that was quicker than I expected. Didn’t buy a ticket when they went on sale, not really regretting that decision…

Meh. There's potential. I'd hoped for better, considering the film is one of my all time favourites. Getting an American import for the female lead leaves a very sour taste. Clive Carter is going to need a Zimmer frame - totally miscast. Zoe Birkett - was ok in Rock of Ages, she can really belt out a good'un if she looks after her voice. Eh, nothing wow but hopefully, it all comes together in the end!

I do wish when they make announcements that they put the actors proper names as well as their Twitter ones as we don't all use Twitter and sometimes their Twitter name doesn't remotely resemble their actual name. That said there is nothing exciting there but as long as the actor can sing/dance fairly well for this show they don't need any big "names" as the show has sold well already so they don't need to pull in the punters as they already have the money in the bank.

You can still click on the Twitter link- and their personally Twitter pages and see who they are without having a Twitter account I believe
