We currently either have, or are about to have, quite a few transfers from the NT (Nine Night, Curious Incident, Home I'm Darling, The Lehman Trilogy, Oslo); the Young Vic (The Inheritance); the Almeida (Summer and Smoke, The Twilight Zone); the Globe (Emilia) and Bath (Switzerland, The Price).
As per usual, nothing from the Donmar (hopefully we'll get some second opportunities from Mike Longhurst).
No play transfers either from the Royal Court (last was The Ferryman) or from the Hampstead (Caroline, or Change is a musical) for quite some time.
And nothing at all so far, play or musical, has announced a move up from Chichester this year.
But which plays do you think will be next to announce a transfer?
My money would be on The Madness of George III from Nottingham and The Watsons from Chichester. I am sure that The Cane from the Court would be a strong contender, however I imagine Nicola Walker's filming commitments for The Split and Unforgotten may kick this into the long grass, if it ever happens at all.

If TPTB are reading, I'd be very grateful for a chance to see The Watsons.

Ditto The Watsons, which is the play I most regret missing this year - especially as I had a ticket and it would have rounded off my year's visits to CFT. Sigh...

Watson's would be great. Maybe for Hampstead?

Right, so, any producers reading out there, we'd all love a transfer for The Watsons. Please make it happen! 🙏

Surprise the Nape never transferred and went straight to Broadway, a country that loves snooker! Sheffielf Theatres also done a cracking version of Frost/Nixon that didn’t transfer. Maybe Copenhagen from Chichester, Pressure could make a return as it seemed to have sold very well.

One I have wished for is for Three Tall Woemn to transfer, and if Glenda Jackson is too busy being King Lear may I sugest Helen Mirren.

I could see The Writer from the Almeida having a late transfer. It's on quite a few End of Year lists, as is Annie Baker's John from the National.

I wouldn't say a subsidised theatre having no shows transfer is a sign that they're not doing well. Often things can fall through, people aren't available or simply no theatres are available.
The Watsons probably would be a good bet although I'm unsure where it could go,

The Watsons probably would be a good bet although I'm unsure where it could go, Traf 1 in March or Duke of Yorks in mid April or Wyndham's in May.

The Writer maybe but more for cache reasons rather than profit.
