The thing with the Palladium, you’ll always find a decent price ticket eventually. They clearly price high but end up selling low. Via dynamic pricing or discounts elsewhere? I was forever waiting for King and I tickets to drop in price but it never happened....

I was forever waiting for King and I tickets to drop in price but it never happened.... Both. I’ve turned up at the box office and had discounts on the day, used TodayTix for rush tickets (including TK&I for £25 a go) and various musicals in recent years have had to go through the discount websites.

I once got a £25 ticket in the stalls at box office on the day for A Chorus Line, a couple of hours before curtain up.

A friend asked me to go with him to see this. I've refused on the basis of the extortionate pricing. I realise I am in a minority, but I still wonder why. I felt exactly the same when it went on sale but on reflection I decided to book a central seat in the grand circle for a Wednesday matinee. Row B there costs only £15 due to a "safety rail in sightline" but I can live with that for the price.Next rows back are £35. The royal circle and stalls prices are indeed excessive starting at £55 but mainly £75 - £140. Don't think I've ever had so many different emails about tickets for one show. Into double figures since Thursday.

I’m pretty sure Keith Chegwin (God bless him 😔) used to wear that jacket on ‘Swap Shop’. I can remember the sadly missed Cheggers wearing one on Swap Shop's outside broadcasts.

Don't think I've ever had so many different emails about tickets for one show. Into double figures since Thursday. I've had a ridiculous number this week too. Oddly, considering that this show was one of my earliest favourites (and the first show I ever saw in the West End - with Phillip Schofield) I have no desire to book it. That might change if I can get tickets on the cheap, but I'm not paying £85+, and I'm not sitting at the back in the absolute barn that is the Palladium. Maybe TodayTix closer to the date, depending on the casting.

With these prices they will get a one direction member and pay Liam a million pounds. That’s my bet.

So does Joe not winning Strictly mean we can all breathe a sigh of relief?

So does Joe not winning Strictly mean we can all breathe a sigh of relief? I wouldn’t bank on it.

I do wish they’d just go for a West End name for Joseph. The show has a huge enough brand name, it’ll sell regardless of who they have in the role- I just want someone who will sing & act brilliantly- that shouldn’t be too much to ask from a West End production.

Raza Jaffrey is definitely easy on the eye, but about 20 years too old for Joseph.

And to make it a family affair, Raza could convince Lara Pulver to play the Narrator.

DVO is too old and too busy with her Matalan commercials. She dropped out of Chicago because of the "foot" but notice she never went back into it. So not sorted.

Maria Friedman was the Narrator in the Joseph video with Donnie Osmond back in 1999 making her 38 when she did that role.
Denise is now 44 so 6 years older. It really doesn't make that much of a difference

Probably not but I just do not see her in the role.

I don't see Liam from 1D doing it, he is too keen to be seen as edgy. If anyone from the band I'd say either Niall or the one who has gone into acting. Even then have their fan base moved on?
If CHF IS the narrator maybe her brother as Joseph? He still looks youthful and it would be a full circle thing him back at the Palladium. He has a large social media following, and is wife has a growing profile too

Totally left field, but wouldn't it be amazing to have Dame Judi Dench as the kindly "grandmother" narrator? Bring a whole new dimension to the show. She could totally rock "Go Go Go Joseph"!
