For what reason do you need one of those? Agree, Denise. I loved those wheelie sheep. Wish they sold them at the souvenir shop...

Surely they can do those things whether or not the children are properly credited- unless they perform under complete anonymity, make no reference on any social media, do not appear on Spotlight or in junior sections of agent websites or allow family to make any reference to them?
I'm all for safeguarding but too often I feel kids get short-changed in terms of proper recognition. And then there are the issues relating to horrid click-tracks many are forced to mime to!
Having said that, the kids' curtain call in 'Billy Elliot' was magnificent! And the recognition of the talent on show in 'School of Rock' is heart-warming.

When I first joined the old forum the comments about Billy Elliott had my eyes out on stalks. If that is the sort of person hanging about then better safe than sorry.

So Sheridan is getting better and better each time I see this- she’s playing much straighter than she did in the first preview and singing the score closer to how it was back in the ‘91 version.

When is the lift supposed to be used in the show?
Tonight, it was only used for Jac’s entrance and then Poor Poor Joseph and wasn’t used as a platform for Mrs Potiphar and Pharaoh (seen in press photos) - wasn’t used at all in Act 2!
Did Jason’s shoe problem cause it to break down ?

Maybe Jason has had a diva moment and refused to work with it following his incident last night. 🤣

I know we have moved on from this now but it just came to me.....
Do you think The Sun would pay for my story if I told them that I had seen Sheridans Fanny?

I just spat out my avocado bagel - Sheridan is now “singing the score” like Linzi Hatley did in 1991. Sheridan has done some super TV roles and sang Cilla well but PLEASE do not compare her to the masterclass in musical theatre heaven that is Linzi. She comes nowhere close!! In my opinion Sheridan Smith is dreadful in this Normal Wisdom meets Andrew Lloyd Webber car crash.

But I was there for the very first preview, and she is now much closer to how it was sung than she was back on 27th June when keys were changed all over the place it a lot of it just sounded wrong. I’m not very technical in how I’ve explained that, but she is now singing it more like the previous incarnation.

Lottery question please, if anyone knows this: do you get an outcome email either way, or only if you've won? If the latter, it leaves the unsuccessful entrants wondering whether they've missed out or are yet to hear something.

I wasn't going to go see this production at those prices but i won the lottery this week!
Admittedly i am very biased towards the 1991 production, but i am determined to go in with an open mind.

Going back into the Palladium in 2020 - exact dates TBC but likely to be after Madonna's short run end of Jan Wonder if this means there isn't a summer musical or panto for 2020 if Joseph is returning unless it's a limited run.

Between Madonna's last night on Saturday 15 February and Monday 18 May 2020 (and also excluding Sundays), there are currently 17 nights already booked into the Palladium.

Emails usually come on the Thursday and if you win you have 24 hours to book. When my partner won it they got the email on the Friday so I do wonder if they hold some names back in case not all the winners book in the end.

I did wonder if some entrants would hear later, though I hadn't expected it to be as late as the next day. I entered for next week and haven't heard anything yet, so presumably even if I did belatedly, the ticket options would be much reduced. Doesn't help that I can only do one evening each time.

Even if you do win, they don’t allocate the tickets until the day before. No choice given unfortunately! But we’ve had Row G stalls and Row G Royal Circle and both were good seats.
I’ve not entered this week as I’m in 2 nights next week anyway.

I'm surprised that if successful lottery entrants (still not one myself but hoping!) are expected to pay £30 for a ticket, they are not told at the time where it is. As that's about double my average spend, that represents quite in investment in an unknown quantity. I know people have reported being allocated great stalls and circle tickets but are you even told which area they will be in? As in the case of some popular productions, you could pay that and more for a rubbish seat at the rear of the balcony.
