Were the costumes different from the 2019 production? Please say they got rid of that horrible jumpsuit for the narrator! Baggy jumpsuits are a friend to NO ONE!

Have they got rid of those tents or whatever they were at the beginning that kept causing the show stops? Still there, but no show stop last night.

I also suspect baggy jumpsuit was there to hide Sheridans pregnancy? Just a theory Pretty sure it was not to hide her pregnancy since the understudy Narrator’s also had the same costume. I guess it was just the costume chosen that year but at least Alexandra is looking much more of a smarter casual.

There is now a lottery at www.josephthemusical.comIt's a bit vague as it doesn't say how much the tickets are but you click on choices of various upcoming dates and then it says "if you don't win how much would you be prepared to pay for a ticket " and a drop down menu with prices. So maybe the lottery is free if you win and then if you don't you could be offered tickets at the price you clicked on.

They have opened the lottery for Joseph. Although i cant find the price to confirm, i believe in 2019 tickets £25 for best available. www.josephthemusical.com/ticket-lottery/There's also a lottery for Cinderella too, though not sure its running yet. See Cinderella thread.

The T&Cs confirm lottery tickets are £25. Drawn on a Thursday for the following week and you can but up to 4 tickets.
My friend saw the show tonight and said Alexandra was amazing and she didn’t realise how big a role it was. Sounds like she smashed it. I get to see her in August, twice and can’t wait! (Excited for Linzi on Saturday too of course!!!)

does anyone know if theres a phone number for the box office for London Palladium because there are no single seats for todays matinee but there are a few seats left so they'd want to sell them. or should I go to the box office in person?

There's no way of contacting them via phone at the moment but I find if you email the customer services email with "urgent" or similar in the subject line and asking for a call back, they generally get back to you within the hour.

I did a last minute visit to the BO Monday night and they sold me a single ticket despite there only being double seats. Got a really good seat in the stalls for £35. I had to go back after 6pm though. They wouldn’t sell me anything earlier than that.

At the interval and having a fun time. The show is in good shape and Alexandra Burke is giving it her all - she’s much much better here than her wooden turn in Chess a few years ago. Some of the keys have been lowered, but I assume this is identical to what they did for Sheridan. I have to say that while I wasn’t a massive fan of Sheridan’s antics in this show, it does feel like something’s lacking without her. The energy isn’t quite what it was 2 years ago, and while it may well pick up over the course of the run I suspect that it was built too much around Sheridan’s personality and without her it’s really hard to make it work as well as it did.

A small addendum after Act 2 - Ms Burke gives us sweet sweet belting right where we want it in Pharaoh Story, and Jason Donovan is much better than he was in 2019. I could actually make out the words he was singing this time!

If you can get up to 4 tickets in the lottery, why doesn't it ask you for how many tickets you want?
I entered the lottery earlier this week and just got an email from the Joseph BO, with 1 ticket for next Saturday, but it doesn't mention the lottery anywhere in the email. It's also appears to be free. Very odd.

I've had an email with my ticket for Saturday matinee but then got another email with my name but someone else's booking details for Saturday night which is a bit worrying!

They're obviously having some technical issues at the Palladium Box Office.
