Releasing a recording of JCS... I don't think I'd listen to anything else for a year if that happened tbh. I doubt it will but it would make my day if this was the announcement.

Might go and see this as it will be in the dry. Mind you trying to find the Barbican is a task itself.

Mind you trying to find the Barbican is a task itself. Always a running joke. It's actually not that hard. yeah i found it really easy on my first time this year

I regret not seeing this at Regents Park over the Summer., so will definitely book for the Barbican run. I also have some Theatre Tokens to use, so this will be perfect. I’ve never seen EVITA, but always wanted to .
Any idea of if there will be mid-week matinees? I can’t remember for JCS.

You can see the schedule if you go to calendar view in “What’s On” - matinees at 14:15 on Thursday and Saturday

Will I be able to use my “rained off” credit for the barbican run?,

SO pleased. This deffo deserved an ongoing life and a Barbican run is perfect.
Controversial but true, I actually preferred JCS indoors.
I wonder if any of the original cast will come back. I also wonder if the pyrotechnics will be adapted or ditched.

They'll have to cut the flares but i presume they will keep the confetti and streamers. i hope the Barbican cleaners are well paid because they will be earming it during the run!
As much as i disliked it in the park, i will probably go again, especially after some posters pointed out what some of it meant! and as long as they get a new Eva...

With Sam Pauly opening up in Six on Broadway in February, I suspect we will get a new Eva!

It would be nice if Marsha Songcome got the role full-time next year.

Also would love to see Marsha in the role, thought she was incredible!
I think the flares, and fireworks will just be changed to indoor, concert style pyros. Love some good pyro + confetti.
Will hold off till nearer the time to book.

Marsha! Yes, please - a really top-notch Eva. Far better, vocally and dramatically.

Painless member's booking this morning. Plenty of availability still.
Ticket prices quite reasonable:
Stalls: £65 or £60 (for the outer few seats) Dress Circle: £65 for centre block, £60 or £45 for side blocks Upper Circle: £30 for centre, £20 for side Gallery: £20 for centre, £18.50 for side
Member discount 20% on 2 tickets per performance on the top three price bands, no discount on Saturday evenings (so if there are two of you and you went twice with top price seats you would break even on your membership)
£3 off the stalls and circle prices for previews (up to 6th July), press night looks to be Tuesday 7th July.

Not bad but an annoying increase from JCS. The outer 4 seats in the Stalls were 45 quid for that which I thought was a great bargain. And was where I always sat. Wonder if they are implying outer Stalls is less of a restriction for the Evita set or, more likely, if they are just expecting faster sales so able to charge more.

Very easy booking this just now. I got the 2 performances I wanted with no trouble at all. The last night happens to be my birthday so couldn't resist a second pair of tickets. Along with City of Angels at the same time, it was the easiest booking I've ever done.

Nooo this was the revival I was most looking forward to this year... That and the double whammy of the Edinburgh Fringe today. Doing nothing for my morale.
