According to reports, at one point yesterday, there was over 700,000 people in line for tickets. One of the biggest sales in Ticketmaster history.

Never understood the draw of the Spice Girls and their continued appeal, suppose we all want to meet our younger selves every now and again. As an aside managed to pick up a ticket for Haken at the Islington Assembly Hall without any issues earlier today,. Well the appeal is obvious - the music. You don’t sell 100 million records through media hype and marketing alone (and not with that much merchandise to also buy). Throw in the fact they’ve barely toured (52 UK shows in 22 years - of which 31 were London based) and leave it at least a decade between tours... well, you can’t say they haven’t left people wanting more. |

I hope they do visit the rest of the world with the tour, I know they intend too but it's such a shame they have never done an actual world tour that isn't just America and Europe. If they pick the right stadiums, they could easily sell them and also do it in under 40 shows. I’ve heard talk Australia is definitely being arranged, which makes sense - they have so many markets they’ve never gotten around to playing that the fact 20% of the band is missing isn’t going to be an issue (which it could be outside the UK, where their levels of success weren’t quite as big as they were here). Plus they tried to visit markets they hadn’t played during their last reunion... but The o2 and comfort of their own beds each night made them quickly forget those plans. |

Please forgive my ignorance, but can I please clarify: these gigs are at Wembley Stadium aren’t they, not Wembley Arena? We managed to get tickets but are in block 519... I had no idea that the two venues were completely different as I’ve never been to either. Has anyone ever been to a concert at the stadium before? Google tells me that the capacity is 90,000, which is insane for a concert. I won’t see the Girls by the naked eye will I? (I’m still super excited, regardless).

The issue with The O2 was clearly they got carried away haha. In theory, they did 47 shows at the last tour, they could of done that at The O2 if they hadn't decided to make it a tour, rather a residency. I expect maybe another London show or two because there are about three days off between Bristol and London free, which seems larger than the other dates so appears to be a significant gap. What will be interesting is whether they decide to keep the International shows as stadiums or arenas. They could easily keep to stadiums, but at the same time, but I could see them switch it up as it's their first time there. |

Yes it’s the stadium And yes it’s massive for Concerts However about 1/5 of the seating behind the stage is not used if the concert is end on like these dates Your block is quite far away I won’t lie I have sat in the front few rows of lower block equivalents at that end for several shows and it is distant But its directly facing the stage And honestly the atmosphere will make up for it I also depends on what sort of stage show they put on But it’s a group and not a solo artist So sitting with some perspective isn’t a bad thing |

The interview was good fun. They said they weren't looking to make any new music together unless it happened naturally along the way. Well, Emma and Mel C have both been in the studio (separately) over the last few months (posted seen on Instagram) which is suspect to say the least, considering they’ve known for a good 6 months they were heading back into Spicemania. From the Jonathan Ross interview and various other pieces they’ve done recently, I actually think they’re playing a very safe game and rolling things out in stages - not only to gage public response and demand, but to see how they feel as a band after each stage too. This way they don’t over promise and under deliver. Emma said on JR that they hadn’t recorded anything ‘yet’, and Geri said ‘first things first, sing the hits’. I still think we might get something - though an album of unreleased material (such as the unreleased 3rd album they recorded with Geri before she left) might be more appropriate at the moment. |

You'll see them, but they will be ants. That's what most people in the stadium will be experiencing though, I wouldn't feel too bad. You're going, which is the main thing! |

There’s no such thing as proximity in a stadium unfortunately. Even those in the golden circle have chance to be some distance from the stage (especially if this is recorded in London). But the atmosphere is electric - just wait until you hear 70,000 people singing along to Wannabe. |

Memories! I did Wembley Stadium for Simon and Garfunkel '83 was it? I had better eyesight then 😂😂 we were about half way down a side and half way back, could hardly see them. Bless.

After failing miserably to get tickets on Saturday I’ve just managed to get some for the Thursday night in London. So excited. I know full well they’ll just be dots in the distance from where I’ll be standing but it’s fine. The atmosphere and songs will more than make up for that. And for like £80 each I feel like it’s not that bad a price either.

Set looks amazing for first night of tour at Crowe Park...lot of complaints about sound issues on Twitter,but that might be because of size of venue.Jess Glynne went on about 7.15pm as support.

Following problems in Dublin,masses of complaints about the sound at the Cardiff gig.Seems to be people in the stands who are suffering most.We are doing Coventry on the pitch so fingers crossed.Really gutted for people who are angry and disappointed enough to be demanding refunds.

I saw Madonna in the days when you just turned up and either stood in the pitch area or sat at the sides. We sat - and yes, we could just see her from 5th row about 20 along from the stage. The 700,000 statistic I'd believe, but would guess a fair number were multiple browsers open for a single booking. I remember Madonnas WTG tour at Wembley Stadium & my uncle didn’t get us there til about 6pm!☹️ She was a dot then! For the next tour I got the coach myself and ended up about fifteen metres from the stage. That’d be a £600 gold circle ticket these days. I think those tickets were £15 and £21 respectively! Only really Michael Jackson could match the pop show creativity back in the 80’s and 90’s. |
